The Westerly at Forge Park Apartments

My family and I moved into the Westerly less than a month now and I must say I'm very pleased. My wife and kids did the walk through with the wonderful help of Brandon " ask for him " and if they didn't like it or his attitude I would not have agreed to move here. So far the people here are very welcoming and friendly. Great place to be.

Hi! I dont usually write reviews but, i lived there for 1 year. At first it seemed so nice with all the amenities, even tho a little high priced i was kinda somewhat desperate to get a place due to my work schedule.. after awhile so many of the amenities didnt work, along with my microwave and washer, which i kept bringing the matter up to the house mom Brandon as everyone referred to him as.. basically my complaints just kept getting pushed aside, like oh well have it checked out. Basically they have no problem taking your money every month but soon as you have an issue they drag there feet.. def dont recommend especially for the money.. beware of lipstick on a pig appearance..ty

I lived here for a few years and have recently moved out of this complex. I can say that this residence definitely has it's fair share of positives and negatives, but this is the list that I made during my stay: PROS: Quiet area that is VERY close to the Forge Park Commuter Rail Dog Park Pool Nice high ceilings Plenty of parking Generally friendly and accommodating staff (Brandon is an absolute gem to work with) Maintenance staff is absolutely incredible Can't hear your neighbors through the walls. It's actually amazing how quiet it is within your apartment Easy access to the highway Washer/Dryer in unit Spacious kitchen Trash valet (which is very convenient) Solid price (considering what is around) Very dog friendly complex CONS: The ceilings must be made out of styrofoam peanuts. If you have a heavy footed upstairs neighbor, or one with kids, or one that wears shoes... You will hear(more like feel) them non stop The windows seem to be made of plastic. Whatever temperature it is outside, is the temperature inside (unless your heat/AC is fighting it all day) Pool is right next to the main road which is kind of strange You are paying almost 3k/month, and everything is.... cheap (kitchen cabinets are cheap, shower heads need to be replaced, floor is cheap, washer/dryer are cheap, the gym equipment.... cheap) The "security doors" that require you to use an app/scanner to open are ALWAYS broken, and take weeks/months to get fixed Back to the price... They seem to partner with government assistance programs, so if you are expecting a certain type of clientele for the price then look elsewhere (also seems a bit unfair that some people have to pay so much when some people pay almost nothing for the same amenities) No electric car chargers (when the complex next door has them) There is dog poop EVERYWHERE. You can't walk more than 5ft on the sidewalks without making sure you haven't stepped in any It is almost impossible to find your packages (something needs to be done about the organizational method) Overall I enjoyed my time here at The Westerly. I can't express enough how great the staff is, and they do their absolute best making sure that each and every tenant is happy here. Also, for the price in the area it's pretty much unbeatable. The times we live in aren't the easiest right now, but I don't think apartment developers should just have us "deal with it" because most of us in MA are desperate for housing. I hope this review helps someone make an informed decision.

We have lived here for nearly a year now and how 99.9% positive reviews for this environment. The negative will be listed last but it mostly parcel pending related and honestly it is super nit picky. Everything else is amazing positives but I want to be upfront. The front office is always super responsive whether by email or phone call. They sound out constant communication to residents even after hours. I have never experience a front office that does such a thing. During incremental weather, they keep you informed and knowledgeable of what is going on. The maintenance crew is above and beyond anything that I have ever experience before. They are responsive amazingly quick and will get your issue resolved same day even if it is not same day. The maintenance staff deserves a huge raise or more staff because they are the best I have ever experienced and honestly they are the marketing material for why to live here. They are passionate about their job and will explain what is going on to you. Parking is plenty and the location is great especially with the location to the commuter rail. My only negative that many others have pointed out is the parcel pending system. Myself it is not much of negative (hence the 5 star rating) but be prepared to have mutli-day delays on getting a code and if you order expensive things it can be nervy wracking. I work from home and get many things that are expensive and I have y et to have anything happen to my packages but there is definitely an honor system going on here. Outside of that, having a front office that communicates at all times even after hours and an absolute gold standard in maintenance is always the peace of mind I want where I live.
