PES are the most unprofessional, incompetent, untrained group I have ever dealt with. They have nothing to do with mentalhealth and mental health care. I would rather deal with a plain ordinary police officer. They have NO concern for the medical needs of the patient. They have turned me away when I was suicidal because their "supervisor" thought I should go to a court date instead of minor importance. They won't let you talk or talk to a psychiatrist--they actually turn you away from going inpatient without speaking to a doctor. As I said, they are worse than the police. They can't and won't tell you what they qualifications and function is even though YOUR insurance pays for their "services". I will not use a hospital where you have to go through PES. Like I said, I'd get better medical care from a cop. In the last 5 years I've had many dealings with them and I can't think of one positive thing they did for me.
