Huge scam artists have you seen them in the news they were in the Cape cod newspaper Dr swan was arrested and indicted for billing and overcharging MassHealth insurance by $200,000. I know his dental hygienist at least when I worked there when the office first opened has no problem overestimating the amount of work she does and time spent in the office. Which ultimately led me to quit this job because I was honest about my hours and how I wasn't making enough money to be able to afford my apartment. Somehow Dr swans dental hygienist had plenty of hours even though we worked the same amount of hours. In December I lost filling in my front tooth and tried to schedule an appointment I was told that they could get me in in a very timely manner by the dental hygienist yet again. So I went in they took my insurance they did the x-rays and then they informed me that the closest appointment they had to replacing the filling with the doctor was two and a half months away February 20th. An appointment I was unable to reschedule due to me having a physical doctor appt that day and then they wanted to push it off for a whole entire another month. I'm disappointed because I could have booked at a different dental office that would have fixed my tooth sooner however I trusted the dental hygienist when she said we can get you in right away and then they just took my insurance charge them for X-rays and then didn't help me I still do not have a filling in that tooth. When I called up to ask them why they had done this and I told him hey you already build me for x-rays why didn't you guys inform me when I booked the x-ray appointment that you wouldn't be able to get me in right away why did you take my money? The offices response was we built your insurance we didn't take any money from you. No you billed my insurance after informing me that you could do the procedure that was needed in a timely manner. But instead that was an outright lie and all you wanted was my insurance money for the x-rays and not to actually fix my tooth. When I pressed this and asked why it was going to take me two and a half months to see the dentist I was told while he's the only dentist in the office. Which honestly is not a good excuse, previously I was a dental assistant to an ex harbor professor of dentistry who owned his own practice his name is Doctor Foo out of Worcester Massachusetts that man worked 6 days a week in his own practice he was there at 7:00 a.m. and left at 5:00 p.m. you're telling me that Dr swan doesn't even work 5 days a week at his own practice.????? What is the on vacation with everybody's MassHealth money for work that he didn't complete?! This dental office is a joke the dentist and the dental hygienists are scam artists and if I lose a tooth I will sue you for malpractice.

These people blanket surrounding dentist offices with piles of their glossy brochure, listing prices that seem much lower, to pull you in. The office assistant (H) took a surround x-ray; I was impressed; first time I'd had one. She, not the doctor, told me I needed 2 teeth extracted, I was having no trouble with the teeth but she managed to convince me. (I was very vulnerable to being misled, having recently, unexpectedly lost my daughter). I'd gone in to discuss getting 2 implants but H. said they could only do those if I had extractions too. We talked at length, I gave her my credit card and she withdrew a large amount of money, keeping the card info on file. Now I know that was another tactic to pull/ lock me in. They gave me a prescription to take 4 pills of an extremely powerful drug. I never met Dr. Swann until I was in the chair, very drugged, when he glanced at the x-ray and asked me if it was correct which teeth were to be removed. I was so heavily induced I could barely speak. He proceeded to crack the teeth, I could feel everything and sobbed, regretting it throughout, but helpless, under the influence, unable to talk. They gave me no prescription for pain or antibiotics, after. The pain was extreme and I got dry socket in both areas. The entire jawlines hurt for well over a year. I have nerve damage in those areas. I called, telling them that I would never go there again and to refund the advance (implants) monies back to my credit card. H. said she would take care of it but instead of putting $1700 back into my account she 'made a mistake' and took *another* $1700 out!!! It took her several days to correct the first $1700 and more days to put back in the 2nd $1700! Her colleague blamed it on "mommy brain". (They still took a large amount of money out for the extractions they'd done.) When I talked to Dr. Swann about all this, he said he uses the assistants to diagnose in order to keep his costs low. What terrible practice! The doctor should be involved and advising on such important matters as pulling 2 teeth! He never mentioned anything being wrong with the teeth he'd extracted! I promised myself that once I wasn't as traumatized I would write this and I rue the day that I ever fell for their tactics. (There are many other parts to my awful story but I know that people stop reading at a certain point. Go somewhere else!)

It was my first visit to a dentist in a very long time. I was having a problematic tooth and called in to have it checked, I was really surprised at how quick and efficient they were. Dr Swann was great detailing everything he was doing during the process. His lineup of doctors too were just as great, they're a great team.. I felt like they respected my time, and we got the problem sorted the same day, everything went smoothly. Really happy and relieved to have it out of the way. I will definitely come again.
