Go With the Float

Hello Gabriella!As I tried to communicate with you at the desk before you left this afternoon, the transaction was as follows: You had booked a 2 person Infrared Sauna (59$), when you informed us 3/22 that your guest would not be using the sauna with you, I changed the booking to a 1 person Infrared Sauna (35$) and I would refund you the difference in cash (24$) when you arrived. 2 Hours before your scheduled sauna appointment, you informed us via text that you would not make it in time for your sauna appointment, but you would come for your floats. I charged you according to our cancellation policy, which is clearly stated in the confirmation messages you received in addition to being clearly stated on the home page and booking sections of our website. I deducted the cancellation fee (17.50$) from the cost of the service (35$) and subtracted it from the cash refund I had promised you (24$) and gave you the difference, which would have been 6.50$, although you decided to just take the paper bills. I tried my best to communicate with you that the 1 Person Infrared Sauna Credit that you purchased remains on your account for use at your convenience and leisure, but you rushed angrily out the door. On the financial level, you were not ripped off in any way. As a small business, we operate on tight margins and must have a cancellation policy in place to make sure clients are incentivized to keep the appointments they make. We understand that unexpected events occur to adults that are out of their control, and have decided that it is ultimately best that we make no exception in our policy for the reason a client misses their appointment or who they are. It is not meant to be punitive, having an equitable cancellation policy in our opinion is the fairest way to respect our business, our clients, and the remarkable value of the services that we offer. I am glad that you and your guest had a wonderful experience in the float tank, and hope that you come back to use your sauna credit soon! Thanks for the opportunity to clear this up. Thanks for noticing that our prices are under the average. We strive to maintain an exceptional service for an affordable price. People love how simple our online booking is and yes, our staff is exceptional! The building is a little creepy lol. Some might say it's part of the charm. Finding us is all part of the experience. There's a good depiction of where to park and how to enter at the bottom of our website. Although there is no such thing as a perfectly quiet environment, we offer an experience that comes just about as close as you can get. We made the descision to not offer music in the tank because we feel floating in silence darkness captures the pure essence of the float experience (restricted environmental stimulation therapy). Conditioner is offered in the freshen up room post float along with all of the other accoutrements you mentioned. We are happy to offer an additional shower mat upon request 🙂👍.
