Rude front desk. The lady has an attitude and very little knowledge of the area. Other than that the room was clean and spacious.

Had a wonderful overnight here. LOVED the decor and aesthetic. (Am surprised by the recent comments referring to it being dated or old. Was renovated in 2018.) Seems a lot of thought went into the design and color scheme: comfortable, attractive furniture spaced in groupings perfect for solo, a couple, or a few guests to relax and chat in the lobby and public areas. Clever wall-mounted Scrabble game. Front staff were friendly, kind, and helpful. Our guest room was attractive and well-appointed. Bed and pillows were super comfortable. The fridge was bigger than the cube style dorm fridge and it had a small doorless freezer space. Worked for our needs. I chose a room on 2nd floor overlooking the pool area. Sitting on the large balcony, with panel separators on either side, and looking out at the foliage-filled pool-atrium space made me feel like I was on a tropical vacation. We could hear the air-handling system for the pool area, but this was not at all a problem for us. More like white noise. Didn't bug me in the least. LOVED the pool area. Comfortably dim lighting, plenty of spaced-out seating, perfect temperature pool water. Not overly humid and no overwhelming chlorine smell. Had the pool to ourselves Sunday morning. Did not make use of fitness center or restaurant on this short trip. Nor of the outdoor pool and tennis courts, this being March and all. This hotel will likely have a very different buzz "in season," but off season, it was blessedly peaceful and quiet. We are already planning to return next year, same time. Incidentally, I noticed 2 reviews here (from reviewers with the same last name) from summer 2023 that complained about a tick/s in the room. The review contained photos. The insect in the photo was not a tick. FYI.
