Both my kids have been attending JunZiLan since May 2021 and Im extremely pleased with their progress. Under the caring environment at the school, they show strong development both socially and academically. The teachers are so loving that they fostered the bonds with them right away, and the kids trust and love the teachers as well. They love to go to school everyday and they love the school as their school, a childrens house. Socially, Im very gland with my kids change. They were quiet but now they talk a lot at school, made many friends and learn with each other. My kids also grow quickly academically. I still remember, after 7 months in JunZiLan, one day my older one started reading a first reading book, which really surprised us. They learn at their own pace tailored for them and now my older one can read chapter books and magazines, doing math, making world maps , and all the credits go to the school teachers and environment they fostered. The peer learning atomosphere encourages learning from other kids and fostered positive attitude and friendships. The bilingual class really suits our need as we want them to know the Chinese language and cultures. My kids learn to care for the younger classmates and take care of each other. They are learning to be a wholesome person. I would highly recommend the school to parents who want their kids to be in a loving, caring and learning environment.

I have had the pleasure of being involved with Montessori preschool education for over 30 years. I have been a teacher, a school director, a teacher trainer and a coach. My relationship with JunZiLan began more than two years ago. At that time Jing was looking for space for her school. From our first days together I was so impressed by her dedication to founding an authentic Montessori school. That goal narrowed her choices of spaces and staffing but she keep looking until she found what she wanted. The finished space is unique and so inviting to children and adults as well. She has chosen staff members who meet her high standards. What makes Montessori different from traditional preschools is that all the academic lessons (math and reading) are given individually. Not all teachers are comfortable with this method. I know from my work with teachers and children over the years that this tenant of Montessori is absolutely true. It is so rare to find any two children in a group who are ready for the very same lesson at the same time. Working this way takes more time, more documenting and more dedication to meeting each child where her/she is. At JunZiLan this happens every day.
