Okay, I should have updated right after I posted last time. It turns out, they were emailing me and it was going into my spam. That is partly because they still use a personal aol account instead of a professional email address though, so I am only adding one more star. I do really like the insurance company they broker for- I have had several fender-benders over the years and Plymouth Rock has always been easy to work with.

I have had a problem now for weeks and they haven't gotten back to me.  I'm really tired of it and won't be renewing with them.  We had an accident and he was supposed to help me figure out something by Monday-I called Friday and he was "gone for the day"  Now it is Tuesday-still no answer.

It is a pleasure doing business with this firm.  I have had my car and house insured through them for more than 12 years.  They were very helpful when I had an accident - all was resolved ASAP.Their prices are competitive.  I give high marks to this family-run business. I've primarily dealt with Eric (he's a peach!) but have been equally well treated by all I've had contact with there.

I'm sorry, I have to give only two stars.  I'm tempted to only give one, but the Erics are nice guys.First, you can never call and just talk to someone.  They are so busy, they don't answer the phone - they call you back after you leave a message.  It's very frustrating not to be able to get an answer for a simple question or resolve an issue without playing phone tag for days or weeks.  Email seems to be worse.  Communication issues aside, we've had two major issues with this agency.  First, even though when we enrolled we clearly wanted our policy auto-renewed (which EVERY auto policy I've had for the last 20 years has done), they didn't do it.  As a result, we were unknowingly uninsured for 2 months, which is a disaster when you move to a new state and try to get coverage.  It took a week's worth of phone calls to get our coverage started, and the MA DMV almost cancelled our registration.Second, when we moved, I called to cancel the policy.  When I talked to Eric, he said he would cancel the policy, told me how to cancel my MA plates online, and that he would back-date the cancellation so we could get a refund for the time our coverage in our new state overlapped.  Fast forward 3 months and the policy STILL isn't cancelled.Like I said, these are nice guys, but clearly disorganized and in the end, you really want to be able to get these things taken care of quickly and simply and not spend days, weeks, or months.  Find another agent.

I've had my car insured through American Consumer Insurance for many years now and they've been always been helpful and responsive. I always get a call back if I leave a message with a question about something, and they've also been helpful via email (don't be put off by the aol email address!).
