***BEWARE! DO NOT HIRE THIS COMPANY!***We hired Eddie (Drain & Heating Solutions) on December 30, 2023 when we had no one else to turn to over the holidays to address water backing up in our first floor bathroom.First, he fed a hand-held mechanical auger ("snake") through our toilet without any rubber shielding, significantly scratching up the inside of the toilet bowl. This was unsuccessful. Then Eddie removed the toilet bowl to get direct access to the sewage pipe and used a long, powered snake in an unsuccessful attempt to clear any blockage. He then left to bring an even more powerful snake, which also did not fix the issue. On Eddie's work report, he stated that there was an obstruction in the pipe about 10-15 feet from the toilet bowl. He recommend getting a video inspection of the sewage pipe system. Ultimately, Eddie charged us $275, even though he was unable to fix the water backup and left significant scratches to our toilet. We trusted his expert opinion and paid.Upon Eddie's recommendation, we contacted a company that does video inspection of sewage pipe systems, who suggested that we instead contact a septic expert to determine whether there is an obstruction in the input baffle of our septic tank. We therefore hired a company to diagnose our septic system. They confirmed that the input baffle to the septic system was completely blocked and cleared it out. However, this did not fix the water backup issue. The company then quickly figured out that the water pump, which moves the water from the first floor bathroom to the septic tank, was not working. They showed us that the pump float was completely ripped off and that the pump power line was almost yanked out. They also showed us that the pump chamber was no more than about 5 feet from the toilet drain. This means that the physical damage to the pump was undoubtedly caused by the massive, powered snake Eddie fed at least 10-15 feet into the sewage pipe. The septic company explained there was absolutely no way Eddie could have fed the snake this deep without damaging the pump. The pump replacement cost us $1800 and definitively fixed the water backup problem. (We also paid significantly more for the septic diagnosis and cleaning). The fact that Eddie did not recognize that there was a pump so close to the toilet drain and fed a powered snake through it demonstrates a failure to properly diagnose the potential source of the water backup and negligent use of inappropriate tools for the job. We understand that mistakes can happen, and reached out to Eddie for reimbursement -- *only for the $275 paid to him + $1800 worth of damage he caused.* Instead of acting like a proffesional who is advertised as "licensed, bonded and insured", we got RADIO SILENCE. We expected him to take responsibility and are extremely disappointed.

Eddie was awesome. He came exactly on time and was very friendly and professional. He let me know from the start what he and cannot do. He was up front and honest. He gave the best case and worst case scenario. I decided to roll the dice and have him give a try to repair my clogged drain. He fixed it and did thoroughly. He gave some suggestion as to prevent future problems and/ or future ease of possible repairs. I would definitely recommend him and may use him for other properties I own. Service: Drain unblocking

He was here for an entire hour, and had to come 2x never charged me. He was honest, professional did an awesome job! He had to get insulation all over him and work under ( obile home)in the dirt to install a pipe from wash machine to main sewer pipe. I would definitely w/o hesitation refer him. He finished much sooner than estimated so cost was less. Thank you Eddie!!! Works awesome.
