Picture Place

I met Tom a while back at New England Comics a few doors over from his shop. Great guy, down to earth comic nerd and super framer. I follow xmen pretty hard core. SO I have a pretty extensive collection of books and original pen and ink drawings. Guess where I had them framed? needless to say we geeked out over marvel stuff while framing my stuff. Now I can hang them on the wall to enjoy everyday. Thanks dude!

The Picture Place in Coolidge Corner is the place to go for a wide range of framing needs. As an amateur artist, I appreciate how Tom, the owner, has helped me get multiple pieces ready for shows. He is patient and attentive when helping a customer decide on how to mat and frame paintings, photos and other types of art. Tom takes the time to listen to the owners preferences but is also able to contribute his suggestions from years of experience. I am delighted to have such a skilled, friendly, and helpful framing shop in my neighborhood.

I popped in here on a whim and was blown away by how knowledgeable and friendly the owner was. The framing work is gorgeous and extremely customizable. This is now my go-to framing spot!

Tom, the owner and the framer of the shop, has done a number of projects for me over many years. He shows the utmost respect for the art. His work is meticulous. His instincts for which mat works with which frame and which frame sets the artwork in the best light is impeccable. Amazingly, I have just learned he does photo printing as well.
