Little Children Schoolhouse

Little Children School House has exceeded my expectations in every way possible. The staff is incredibly caring, the transitions are seamless, and the overall experience has been such a pleasure. We started with Little Children when our son was 8 months old and moving across the country. We were welcomed with open arms and immediately felt the sense of community. The teachers at Little Children's School House are not only highly qualified but also genuinely dedicated to the well-being of every child. They were thoughtful about timing and went above and beyond with any requests including allowing our family to continue to use cloth diapers which was really important to me! I love how they prioritize time outside and make that a part of the Childrens day. I highly recommend Little Children's School House to any parent seeking a nurturing and enriching daycare for their little ones!! We will miss this community greatly!

We have absolutely loved sending our daughter here. We enrolled her full time at the age of 3 months due to my residency schedule and could not have been happier. The hours are great (7am to 6pm), the teachers are AMAZING, LOVING, TENTATIVE and good humans (we even had some of them help out with some evening care on nights when we were busy with work, for extra pay of course). Our daughter started with a little cohort of kiddos and they have all transitioned together, so it has been lovely to see her grow with the other babies, now toddlers. Have not seen any teacher turnaround which has been great, because even as our daughter transitioned from one class/level to the next, all the teachers were around and she could see every single one of them. Teachers/staff were very attentive to our needs and worked with us on getting our daughter to be better with taking milk from a sippy cup vs a bottle, eating more solids, etc. If we werent moving to another state, we would have kept our daughter here for as long as possible. There were so many activities - going to the park when the weather was nice, art activities, in-door play time, music and singing. We also really enjoyed the Brightwheel App that they utilize as we could see lots of daily photos/videos, could see when our daughter would nap, and when she was younger when she would pee/poop and when and how much she would drink/eat. We will miss LCSH and highly recommend this if you are looking for a daycare in the Brookline Village/JP/Mission Hill area.

We were more than satisfied with the Little Children team. Teachers are warm and caring with kids, and communicative with parents and tutors. Staff is also very careful with kids and specially toddlers. Lissy always has a space to talk with parents, explain, inform, or hear the parents needs. In addition, it is a bilingual centre. We loved it!

Teachers are loving and my child had a wonderful relationship with them. She was happy to go to 'school' every day. Lots of walks to playgrounds, arts & crafts activities, circle time, and learning letters and numbers. Plus she learned some Spanish too, which was great. And the management is great - very on top of things and easy to work with. The reason I'm giving 4 stars instead of 5 is because at the preschool age they have regular 'movie day' every week, and I think sometimes in inclement weather too. During this time, they watch some age appropriate TV shows like, Paw Patrol. While it's not the end of the world, I would prefer that my child not have any screen time while at daycare/school. Also, teacher transitions were not proactively communicated.

Our son went to LCSH for about 13 months from 6 months to 19 months. He was always so happy to go and I always felt that he was really loved and cared for by the teachers and staff. They were incredibly supportive and the warmth of all of the teachers made it easier to handle that first year as a working mom knowing my son was in good hands.
