I was in excruciating tooth pain when I went to this dentist after bla-bla-bla with the patient before me his secretary /assistant took ex ray of my tooth he came out and tell me I will be wearing denture he referred me to an oral surgeon he gave me nothing the pain was unbearable I end up going to another dentist on my way home that took care of me with consideration that prescribed me the necessary pain relief and antibiotics and that guy end up charging the insurance and try to get $20 co payment out of me I like to know what did he do for me that make him think I owed him $20? He did not do anything but laughing at my swollen and painful face he definitely not a caring dentist

Friendly and fun, I was going here for several years before I moved to another state. That office knows how to get things done and never had an issue. Love the music selection!!

Substandard care, and unprofessional. I had started seeing Dr. Carabatsos because he took my dental plan. The last few visits went like this:I sat down in the chair, and Dr. Carabatsos immediately told me there was nothing wrong with me before I even opened my mouth. I told him I had a filling that fell out and several small cavities developing along the gum line. I got him to replace the filling and take care of two other spots in the two teeth adjacent to the one with the missing filling. The three fillings all had rough edges and promptly fell out. I went back to him, and he only replaced the largest filling. He didn't even notice the other two were gone. Doesn't he keep charts? I didn't even see my chart in the room.I had also drawn his attention to other spots that were developing along the gum line. Some of these were ones that I could catch my fingernail on, and I could tell they were actually holes in the tooth. His unconcerned response: "Just stop brushing so hard." Really? And that will make them go away? Next, I had a tooth pulled and was in the process of getting an implant with the dental surgeon. I noticed the tooth behind the now missing tooth had a huge black spot above an existing metal filling. I didn't know how long it was going to be before I could get my crown done, so I asked Dr. Carabatsos to "fix all the black stuff" because it was very noticeable. After the procedure, I went to my car and looked in the mirror. The metal filling was replaced with white, but the big black spot above it was still there. I made another appointment and went back.I pointed out the big black spot to Dr. Carabatsos, and without even checking it or doing an x-ray, he tried to tell me that it was just a stain. I said, no, I can scratch it with my fingernail, it's soft. He started drilling. For a long time. At the end, even though I had Novocaine, I could feel sharp pain. He tells me that the cavity was so deep, he could see pink pulp through what's left of my tooth. I will be needing a root canal. Just stain? Seriously? Do I have to tell him how to be a dentist? The kicker was, as I was leaving this time, he started telling me how much work I needed and that all those cavities along the gum line needed to be addressed.  After being completely dismissive and unconcerned, now you care? Seriously?

Ok I will admit this office is a bit 'loose' but for me the casual and friendly atmosphere greatly reduces the anxiety of going to the dentist.  John and his hygienists all enjoy their jobs a lot.  I actually look forward to my visits because it is like a very pleasant social visit with some dentistry on the side.

RUN. No, seriously. I sincerely hope Dr. Carabatsos is no longer in business. Where do I begin? All of the equipment looks like it is circa 1974. The tiny waiting room was absolutely plastered with crazy drawings from his young daughter -- during a particularly long wait I counted over 25 doodles. Similar drawings decorate the walls in all of the cleaning/exam rooms.Twice I went for regular cleanings and they were "out" of x-ray film. Seriously? Twice? As a result, when they finally x-rayed my teeth, I had a hidden cavity that was so bad I needed a root canal and eventually lost the tooth. My older brother and I had tooth pain at the same time and he prescribed medication to him and told me to take it as well. Apparently writing two prescriptions was just too damn hard. While having a cavity filled, the novocaine began to wear off and I cried out in pain and signalled that my tooth hurt. He told me "That's the sound an animal makes" and kept drilling because he was close to finishing. I know this sounds far-fetched, but it is the honest-to-goodness truth.I'm several years removed from coming here, but I can't believe no one else has reviewed this hellhole. My oldest brother arrived on time for the "first appointment of the day" and waited for 15 minutes for the receptionist to arrive, then an additional 15 minutes for the dentist to arrive. All of this occurred in just 2-3 years while we had particularly bad dental insurance and couldn't go elsewhere...
