We had landscaping and yard cleanup done in 2021. Brett was slow to respond & took nearly 6 months from our agreement to complete work that totalled a little over 3 days. He left ruts in the yard with his equipment from stump removal that I had to fix & did not really level the yard as expected. The yard cleanup was great and reasonable, but when he was asked to return in 2022, he declined. (2024 update) It is the ultimate irony that the owner responded nearly 2 years after I posted my original review that mentioned a slow response time. I guess his claim of not knowing who I was is an easy way to deny responsibility. Since this is not a fabricated review, I will not remove it.

Brett and his crew were great! Methodical, meticulous, clean and very pleasant. Everything you want when you remove trees near your house. Will use them again and STRONGLY recommend his services!!!

Bretten S. Johnson Tree Service is now our go-to company for tree-related work. They made every effort to fit our job into both our busy schedules. They worked carefully around our plantings, fencing, structures, etc., worked efficiently and conscientiously, cleaned up after, and did a substantial amount of work for a competitive price. And they're very friendly and have cool equipment (they used a lift in the back yard, which was impressive!). We strongly recommend Bretten and his team and will be using them from now on. Thank you for your excellent work! -Jason & Susan Edit: I failed to mention that Bretten found a nest with 4 baby squirrels in the tree's elbow and covered them back with leaves. The parent squirrels did a little squawking but have since upgraded to another nearby location. :) Edit: I've known Bretten for several years now, and I'm grateful for that. Bretten and his team cleaned up years of overgrowth with little disruption to the local ecology but in such a way that it will last through years of storms. Bretten has grown his company in a remarkably ethical and responsible way, and his team is top-notch. As we know on the Cape, when you find a solid partner, stick with 'em. Stick with Bretten. Brett and his crew are remarkable! With the assistance of some very sophisticated equipment, they carefully took down two tall trees and three smaller ones tight up against our house. Power lines were wrapped around a few branches, but they managed all that. They arrived on time, and the job was completed and cleaned up by early afternoon. The bill and the estimate match exactly! Thanks, Brett, for a fine job. Very professional!

I was very impressed with how Brett runs his business. He returned my call promptly, showed up at the appointed time to review the job and provided a detailed estimate on the spot. He said he would complete the job within 6-8 weeks which he did. He showed up on time with a solid crew and some very sophisticated equipment. The job was not easy as the trimming was long overdue. Bretts crew took a surgical approach and were very methodical as they went about their work - safe and efficient. Brett himself was on site and hands on start to finish. After the work was done I noticed a lot of detailed trimming was done on the trees that resulted in a very clean look. They left the job site cleaner than they found it. The bill was on point with the estimate, all promises kept. I highly recommend this company!
