        I started training here at the age of 43 in the Fall of 2021. I was a little scared to start BJJ at such an old age. But I cannot think of a better place to undertake this wonderful journey . This gym is incredible: from the instructors, to the students, to the physical location itself. All the professors (Professor Alex, Professor Pato, Professor Lucas, Professor Rafael) are so knowledgeable and encouraging. The instruction is not only for the body, but also for the mind and soul. BJJ at Gracie Barra is a meaningful new addition to my life. The gym really feels like a home away from home. If you are older and thinking about starting BJJ in the Boston area, this is the gym for you.

        I am 13 and started when I was 12 I have been going here for about 1.5 years I started off at the kids class for the first 7 or 8 months then transitioned to the adult class and I have been there for around 6 to 8 I only have positive things to say about Gracie Barra. Boston the people are incredibly kind and welcoming, the professors always make sure you are doing the position correctly, and they have good structure
