The Salon At 10 Newbury

I was diagnosed with LPP/ FFA ten years ago, and despite treatments, I have still lost quite a lot of my hair. I was embarrassed, didn't want to leave my house, afraid of the slightest breeze outside. Everyone at the Salon at 10 Newbury is amazing. They totally understand and make you feel comfortable and welcome. They have private rooms to confer, and they have great knowledge and skills to help you through the process of determining what is best for you. I am so glad to have found this salon- They have given me my life back. Thank you to everyone at The Salon at 10 Newbury! You're the best!

I highly recommend The Salon at Ten Newbury. Patricia the owner is so professional and nice. Michelle who worked with me was so kind as well. After going through chemo and lost some of my hair this is just what I needed where it is real hair. My dr. at Dana Farber recommend this fabulous place and so glad he did. I am so happy that I found The Salon at 10 Newbury.  My hair has been thinning due to medications.  Losing your hair is like losing your identity.  You look in the mirror and wonder where you have gone.  It's hard to just admit you need help but finding the right place to go is daunting.  I was very frustrated.   I wanted something that would look very natural and I would feel good about wearing it.  I wanted it to be simple to put on.  I also wanted to have the people that would be helping and guiding me to be kind and understanding.   Well, I found all of that and more.  I called to make the appointment, I was actually nervous just making the call.  The girls at the  reception desk were kind and welcoming.  I felt comfortable right away.  I was treated with the utmost respect.  It just felt right.  The first time I was there was for the consultation which is private and in a seperate room.  Your consultation is actually with the Owner, Patricia Wrixon.  She is amazing!  She takes her time, explains everything along the way and there is absolutley no pressure whatsoever to purchase the product.  Patricia was able to find the perfect topper/wig for me.  I was amazed and felt like myself again.  We then discussed color and length options.   I then had the pleasure to meet with Michelle who would be doing the cut/color for me.  Her personality and knowledge just puts you at ease.  It's difficult to have to go through this, but you are not alone and there is a silver lining. I am writing this to hopefully make the search easier for someone else with this problem.  I also want to mention that Patricia also has a non-profit organization called Wigs for Well Being .  These people really care.  PS.  I love my new hair.

I recently went to salon 10 on Newbury Street for a consult on my thinning hair.  Most women that suffer from hair loss can be in denial and find it very traumatic   before they realize they need to look into options that they can be comfortable with.  Before going to Salon 10 I went to another place, that will remain nameless, and I left there in tears, it wasn't a good experience.  I researched and decided to try Salon 10. I had the best experience from beginning to end.  Pat was the best, she was empathetic, informative and listened to me. She had toppers that had already been styled so you really could judge how it could look on you. Jamie the stylist was a master of his craft. I was amazed that he could cut and style it without it being on my  head, he nailed it.  I left there feeling much more confident about myself.  Thanks Pat, Jaime, Lisa & Ashley

I recently went to Salon 10 for a consult for a topper. Women having hair loss can be traumatic experience but when you see your loss you need be make a decision on what will make you happy. I first went to a different location and did not have a good experience. After some research I contacted Salon 10 and spoke numerous times with Ashley, she was great going back and forth and accommodating me. I went in on a Tuesday and met with Pat, she was great, very kind and compassionate and definitely not pushy. I actually purchased the very first one I tried on. She then brought in a colorist who would do the roots, she nailed it. I was able to return on Friday and met with Jaime the stylist who was also amazing. He definitely is an ARTIST at his craft. He combed it, twisted a couple of front piece and measured a piece in the back. He then said okay Im going to take the piece and cut it Im confused, Im thinking how is he going to get this right not cutting it on my head. He NAILED it; I was amazed and the tears poured out. The level of confidence you once had returned. I cannot say enough about the entire staff, the experience I had from beginning to the end was excellent. I would say to anyone who experiences hair loss and feels depressed about it that you wont regret visiting this Salon, they will absolutely make you feel 100% better about yourself.
