I have lived here in ridgecrest for a little over 2 years and will be moving out soon so I figured id share my honest review/experience. for starters the management team is an extremely helpful , responsive patient proactive team! 10/10 experience with them no complaints what so ever they care about their tenants and will do whatever they can to make you feel at home. the maintenance team is super responsive as well they take care of submitted requests within a day of submission! once i moved in i was greeted with a welcome package with a card and some goodies, it was a really nice gesture.. I can only speak on 2br units with storage room/balcony but im sure others are not far off.. they are very spacious! the layout seems a bit odd to the eye at first (at least with me) however it works with many different designs and you could fit a large sectional, no problem. the bedrooms are large with master able to occupy a kingsize bed and leave space for a futon couch. secondary room fits a full size bed no problem with additional space.. im sure it could manage a queen but i just never went that route. the kitchen and bathroom are pretty much a kitchen and bathroom. this is obviously not a luxury apartment but it is a very nice community in the area, probably the best in the area.. they share a swimming pool with the sister complex around the block, there is a decent gym onsite, no elevator which is a bummer if you live upstairs! Soundproofing is pretty good i have never had a complaint hearing neighbors however i was on the top floor with a child who thinks he is spiderman, so our downstairs neighbors have had some issues with noise.. however not constantly maybe 4 times in total.. otherwise adjacent neighbors are not an issue. Ridgecrest makes sure to keep the property clean! the dumpsters can get overwhelming at times but it is always taken cared of each week nothing for me to issue complaint for because well there are a bunch of people .. with trash to dispose. they are also really proactive in snow seasons with keeping grounds free of snow and ice. pest - there is mice and roaches, at different times i have had issues with both. the mice problem only occured once, the maintenance staff came and sealed up every point of entrance to the little furry creatures and i havent been graced with their invasions since ! on the other hand, ive noticed the roaches are more prominent in the winter seasons , pest control likes to lay sticky traps which to me just doesnt get the job done , so i always request for them to spray the entire unit and that takes care of the problem until the next winter. Pest control is on site once a week. packages do get stolen/dropped off at wrong buildings however its not a literal all the time thing . at least for my building, neighbors are pretty good with bringing packages directly to your door if we notice its been near the mailboxes for too long,, or buzz you down to get it. overall id recommend this complex to anyone searching for a home in the area. its quite , spacious, comfortable, youd forget you even have neighbors at times. i hope this review could help someone in confirming interest in this property !

This apartment community has pest problems. If you are ok to live with mice then this apartment community is for you. I am living here from past 1.5 years and had constant pest problem. Can't wait for my lease to end. Think before you move here.

I have been living in building 134 since February and have gotten 3 packages stolen (2 amazons back to back weeks in June and 1 today Friday, 10/27). And there is no way of knowing who have been taking them, resident in the same building, from a different building, the delivery driver, or even a stranger from the street. Why? Because there are no surveillance cameras anywhere looking at the mail room in any building here. Yes, I know it also my responsibility to receive my packages. However, I can't be at home 24/7 to take deliveries and what if something came up last minutes on the delivery day and I have to leave my apartment? Boom, package is now gone. Because that is what happened today. I got called in for work, I left the apartment at 10am, UPS delivered at 12:59PM, came back at 5pm and nothing. Reached out to people in my building and those that answered, they don't know anything and they also got packages stolen. One even got their 2 amazon packages stolen the night before, 10/26. I would not recommend living here because of this. If you like online ordering and have everything delivered, looks elsewhere. Ridgecrest Village has a bulletin board for residents to post comments and 90% are complains and I doubt management even read them. Edit: I have filed a police report at the local station (E-5) Edit2: If you going to add camera, add them to every building/mail rooms, not just 134. Edit3: 1/10/24, no updates on surveillance cameras and more packages had been stolen this past holidays.

The staff are very nice and responsive. Whenever I had a maintenance request they would always respond within a day. The apartments are spacious and relatively updated. On the other hand, I wish I would have read other reviews before moving in because the building certainly does have mice and roaches. As mentioned, the maintenance staff are very responsive, but their resolution is to send a contracted exterminator who just sets a few traps and calls it a day. When there is a mice infestation, setting traps doesnt cut it. There needs to be structural renovation to fill all the holes. I paid for an external exterminator to come and inspect and he filled up over 10 holes in the heating vents, under the sink, in the bathroom and several other places that the mice has evidently been getting in. He identified that a lot of mice were getting in behind the dishwasher and urged me to contact maintenance to remove the dishwasher and seal the holes. I did exactly that and maintenance came and the situation got a lot better! If you do have mice then speak directly to maintenance rather than being placed on the list of apartments that the contracted exterminator visits once a week to set traps. Also, since all the apartments are connected, I could always smell weed/smoke coming through the vents from my neighbors. Edit: I did notify them after the traps didnt work and informed them that I used an outside exterminator (there was no offer for reimbursement) and I have documentation of this. They sent the same contracted exterminator twice and on the third time I saw mice I called them rather distressed and that was when they sent maintenance instead. The building has a history of mice (you can see other reviews). And the paid exterminator I used said hed been hired by another person in our building last year.

Chetan…Thank you for your feedback. We agree that having mice in your unit is not acceptable and we apologize for the inconvenience. We understand your reluctance to have our staff come into your unit to set up traps as you have a young child who is beginning to crawl. However, this is one of the best ways to eliminate mice from a dwelling and we will try to place the traps in areas that may be inaccessible to a child. We are taking other measures to solve the issue, notably visiting your surrounding units to see if another resident is unknowingly attracting mice to the area. Please stay in contact with our office if you still see or hear mice and we will do everything we can to resolve the issue for you. We apologize once again and want you to know that we want to make your stay at Ridgecrest as enjoyable as possible. –Jaclyn Mergl, Property Manager

Nhat…we can, indeed, sympathize with you about stolen or missing packages as we have staff who live in Ridgecrest that have had the same thing happen to them. This is a problem not only here but anywhere where packages are dropped off – at homes and offices, as well. On occasion, packages do get mis-delivered and we try to drop them off to the correct resident when that happens. We plan to add a security camera for your building this coming year which we hope will dissuade theft but it can’t prevent it. A few steps you could take to prevent theft in the future: require a signature for delivery, coordinate with a neighbor who may be home when you’re not, or have packages delivered to your workplace. Our apologies for this annoyance.

Thank you for your review, Georgia, and thank you for your nice comments about our staff. The first response to a maintenance request regarding an infestation is to set traps, so our contractor did follow proper protocols. Had we been notified through a subsequent maintenance request that the traps did not remedy the situation, we would have pulled the appliances out to have the holes filled. We would have reimbursed you for your expense in hiring a contractor if you still lived at Ridgecrest, as well. We were happy to have you as a resident and wish you the best of luck in your new home.
