I had a work-related notary done by Greg. He is absolutely awesome. He is really responsive by email and easy to make an appointment. The process went very smoothly and he is able to accomendate a lot of questions in the form. Greg is really doing this to service our community. I appreciate his help and highly recommend him.

Greg was terrific. Let me bring my dog with me when I went to have my documents notarized. Five stars and a smiley face :-)

The first issue was that the notary signed one document that he should not have signed, and he was a bit cavalier with it, as it was not marked for him to sign, and I didn't tell him to do it; so while in his presence, I had to call my lawyer and figure out how to retract his signature. The notary did not even acknowledge let alone apologize for this mistake. The second issue was that this notary only accepts exact change and paper checks, and in my case, that meant that the situation spun out into a strange little situational drama. I provided $40 cash for a $30 service, but he said he was unable to offer me change. I asked if he could accept credit cards or Venmo, but no. I was baffled by the lack of change available from a cash-based business, and then he got offended that I was baffled, and my reaction to his lack of reflexivity was to get increasingly amused and bewildered. In the end he did take $26 cash I had on hand, as he could not provide change for my two twenties, and that worked out fine for me. The problem was not that he just "ran out" of change, but that he seemed to think that my expectation that he would even have change was not warranted. He looked at me like I was an alien for expecting change from a cash-based business, and I looked at him like he was an alien for being cash-only but not offering change. His payment preferences are out of sync with basically every other legitimate business in the year 2022 but he gave no warning about his payment preferences on his website or via text as we set up the appointment. He seemed confused and offended by me, as if I had done something wrong by brining two twenty-dollar bills, but from my point of view he was exhibiting a lack of professionalism and just making it all around awkward. All of this happened after he made a mistake on my form and did nothing to apologize for it. I knew he thought I was being rude to him... I didn't laugh out loud to be mean, I was just genuinely just thinking--"what???" Given that there were two separate issues, I should give two stars but I'm giving three because I think my bewildered laughter actually hurt his feelings, as he seemed confused, and for that I have empathy and wish to convey my apology.
