        The owner of this establishment is by far one of the coolest people I think I've ever met. He's so kind and so personable, not to mention that they have the craziest amount of wine from all over the place. I started by going to buy once a week but he always changes them up so there's always different stuff. And now he carries hard liquor too, and beer.

        Best food specialties in the area with reasonable prices and a whole wall dedicated to the most exquisite hot sauces. If you haven't been there then you need to go!!. This place doesn't disappoint

        Check the dates before you buy! Neighborhood store when you need something quick and cannot make it to Star market down the street. However, I wish I had taken the extra time to go to a reliable and trustworthy grocery store instead. They sell "expired food" to unsuspecting customers. It partly was my fault to not check the dates, but a heads up while billing would help unaware customers make the right choice. The food tasted foul and i returned to let them know about my experience. We were shown a very small sticker on the table that had a discounted rate (which we clearly didn't notice while buying) and told that his customers love the expired food they sell. No offer of a refund or apology. I hesitate to return to the store.

      Hello S P,Please allow me to reply to your review. Customers typically enter the store, check out the expired items table (which has a clearly marked sign on it) and then move on into the rest of the store. Sometimes they do their shopping in the rest of the store and check out the expired items table at the end of their visit. The 50% discount is taken at the register.   You entered the store, browsed the expired items table, and then came to the register and paid for your chips. From this we understood that you knew the chips were expired since we gave you the discount and you did not question it.   Sometimes we’re in a rush and we miss something. That’s ok- we get it! We completely understand how you might have missed the sign and the fact that the table is separated and segregated from the rest of the store (according to state code.)This doesn’t mean that we somehow hide from customers that product is expired.I hope you reconsider your review since as a small business every review effects the business.We have been in business 9 years and part of Belmont community, and first time getting review below 5 stars.And lastly I will happily replace the chips and give the refund as well.Best,Art
