Will not perform any job under $25K. The company does not make this known until after you check out their website, look at their reviews, decide you might be interested in working with them, then take the time to message them, and (when they don't respond to your message) call them. Hopefully this review will help others avoid wasting their time!

Britton Homes did a large renovation in our house, and we *definitely* recommend them. The renovation was complex - changing the floorplans for multiple rooms, all new plumbing and electrical in multiple rooms - and my family and I lived in a different part of the house while it happened. Britton Homes was excellent for several reasons: - They communicated very, very well. The Project Manager regularly sent us emails and text messages with updates and questions for us. This was *extremely* helpful - my wife and I both needed to be aware of any changes like this, and he emailed both of us. This way, my wife and I were both in the loop whenever there were any updates or questions. They were also available via text for urgent issues or questions, which was very convenient for us. - They worked with us from start to finish. From the design phase, where a designer created 3 separate proposals for us, to the execution, where the Britton PM was on-site regularly with the carpenters, plumbers, electricians, painters, etc, to the final inspections and walk throughs. They understood our concerns about having our kids downstairs during the work and our parking situation, and they worked with us to make sure there weren't any issues. - The quality of the outcome - it's only been a few months, but so far we love it. Our upstairs looks like it's a scene from a better homes and gardens magazine. The bathrooms are amazing, the walls look great, the lighting / ventilation is excellent and the new layout is convenient and modern. If you've never done a renovation before, or you have and haven't had good experiences, you should strongly consider Britton Homes. They were very good communicators, and were always very in-touch, hands-on and fully engaged in our project, and it led to a great outcome. We're very happy with the result on our home, and we look forward to working with them more.

The Britton Homes team is fantastic. I would work with them again in a heartbeat (in fact I plan to in the future!). They plan well, they communicate well, they are professional, kind, and thoughtful. They gave me some excellent advice on tweaks to my plan that I am extremely grateful for. They take your home as seriously as if it were their home that they were going to live in. They are detail-oriented and proud of the quality of their work. The subcontractors they work with for specific elements of the work (tile, painting, electrical, etc), have the same attitude and approach. The team also takes your wallet seriously - with honesty about the real cost of things and the places were it does and does NOT make sense to save money if you need to. I will also say - especially as a woman - that they never made me feel stupid for not knowing something. They were always happy to explain, which has not been my experience in the past. Don't bother getting quotes from other contractors - just work with Patrick, Ryan, and the rest of the Britton Homes team.

We have worked with Britton Homes on two projects and have absolutely no reservations recommending them. They have been a pleasure to work with and everything from the quality of their work, their attention to detail, to their communication has been excellent. For our kitchen, they gave us a general calendar at the beginning and all work was performed on schedule. The only snag we had was out fault as we picked out flooring which required extra maintenance (oiling!!) and Ryan and his team were the ones that brought it to our attention to make sure we knew. Since we did not know when we picked it out and we did not want the additional maintenance, they helped coordinate switching the flooring at the last minute. Weve always felt that they genuinely want to do the best job possible and do things right. When we did our living room we got a few quotes and they were slightly higher, but it was well worth it. That project involved raising the ceiling which involved adjustments to how the roof was framed. They were always up front about what parts of a project might cost or have delays (ex. The roof framing adjustments or ordering cabinets during the pandemic) and worked with us to make sure things were picked out and ordered on time. When we did the kitchen we didn't even consider using anyone else. And when the time comes for another project we will be using them again. We've had the pleasure of work with Jim, Ryan, and the Britton Homes team on three home projects (so far!). They converted a former bedroom into a master bathroom, refinished our hardwood floors, coordinated repainting our entire home and recarpetting one floor of our house, and most recently, they undertook a huge basement rennovation. The basement was particularly complex project - it was basically a dungeon! Jim and Ryan coordinated completely redoing all the HVAC, duct work, electrical, and plumbing, and installed french drains. They also added a gorgeous bathroom. Britton Homes is special. Their communication is oustanding. Jim and Ryan always respond quickly, present you with their honest view and recommendation, and help you navigate any challenges. We can't recommend Jim, Ryan, Patrick, David, and John highly enough.
