The Monday of Thanksgiving I called KJD plumbing to set up an appointment because my hot water heater was making loud whistling noises. The only time they had available was for Friday, 4 days later. I scheduled the appointment, hoping my water heater wouldn't blow up before they came. Friday morning I get a phone call from KJD saying they have to cancel my appointment because one of their repeat customers needed them. So I waited 4 days, and they canceled my appointment for another customer who called them Friday morning. This business is very unprofessional and I DO NOT recommend them, they are unreliable.

This is an addendum to my June 25 2019 review. Yesterday I had my second experience with KJD Plumbing when the owner, Joe Dixon, came to our home to install the replacement parts shipped to us by Moen (the faucet's manufacturer) to repair the hot water handle on the faucet in our bathroom sink (the handle had tightened up and was very difficult to turn on and off). I'm still very satisfied with KJD Plumbing. When Joe attempted to install the new Moen parts, he discovered they had shipped us the wrong ones. Instead of advising me to start from scratch with Moen and call him when the second shipment arrived, Joe called Moen from our house, explained the situation, and told Moen he would take the correct parts from our exact faucet stocked on his truck so he could complete our job. He told Moen they could send him the parts he took from his truck and he would give the wrong parts to his Moen rep the next time he saw him. This saved me the hassle of reordering parts, waiting another two weeks for the faucet to be repaired, and returning the wrong parts. It also possibly saved me a double service call fee if Joe had charged me for the two visits (Moen warranties their products for life but Joe warranties his labor for only 30 days so I was responsible for the service call fee(s) for this repair job). Granted, I've needed Joe's services only twice but so far, so good. I intend to continue to use him for all our plumbing jobs and I would recommend him to others. By the way, KJD Plumbing is licensed and insured with the Maryland Licensing and Labor Department (I've gone to Maryland's website to verify it).
