Wingate by Wyndham Waldorf/National Harbor

After waiting 15 minutes for someone to come to desk to check in at 2555 Business Park in Waldorf MD. It went downhill quickly from there! Finally got a room key and went to room. As soon as opened door you could smell the cigarettes and marijuana. Horrible. Went to front desk and asked for refund. Was informed she could not do that. Contacted and emailed corporate and all I have gotten is an offer of points. Terrible customer service. Definitely would not recommend this hotel to anyone!!! Rooms: Dirty

Pros: Check-in process was ok. Location was very convenient to my family event. Cons: elevators dont work, ice machines don't work(was told had to go next door to get ice). Hallway rugs are filthy which had clean towels just sitting there that guest had requested. Trash sits outside of guest doors for hrs before staff gets it. We had two rooms and arrive during daylight time. Found out later that night that our microwave didn't work and lights were missing. The only light we had to rely on was the one as you come through the door which is small and the street light. Of course it was reported but only was told maintenance will come fix it in the morning and that we had no other rooms available. We booked one night so that would've helped us out. No compensation at all. It seemed to be renovated recently but not kept up at all. Most of it is just basic maintenance issues that could've easily been fixed. Holes in walls, marks and scratches on walls and most of that come from fixtures that's no longer there. Bathroom sink faucet so loose where u have to hold it just to turn the water on. Bathroom door just needed to be taken down and get another one. Complimentary breakfast not so complimentary. Scramble eggs was just sitting in alot of water I guess that was suppose to keep them moist, potatoes ran out after 2 hrs on a 4hr breakfast time,coffee was very cold like it had been sitting there from the night before. Housekeeper came and knocked on our door at 9:30 saying that she was told we checked out already. She did apologize so that was a plus for and that wasnt her fault. I never will return to this hotel ever again.

Most of the staff was friendly and the rooms needed better pillows. NO, BREAKFAST, although they advertise that they did. But, overall, it is a good place to stay.

Front desk staff wasnt there, when she came to the front she was unprepared. She couldnt figure out what she was doing. Room wasn't clean table and Floor dirty. Headboard had some weired stuff on it. Bathroom vanity was cleaned. no toilet paper. i WOULDNT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE. Came here for a one night / day conference.
