Georges on York B&B

My husband and I had the absolute pleasure of staying at Georges on York last Friday. Our hosts, Sharon and Chris, were absolutely phenomenal. From the moment we arrived, we felt their kindness and warmth radiate from every corner (and plate of cookies) of this stunning B&B. While we were waiting for our friends to arrive, Chris lead us on a tour through the property and helped us settle into our room. Sharon was conscious of my food preferences and made an incredible breakfast-Im still dreaming about the oatmeal and vanilla yogurt!!!! Thank you for hosting and creating such a welcoming space for us during our stay! We truly felt like we were in our home :)

Chris and Sharon treated us like family during our Easter stay at Georges on York. We cannot reccomend booking more! The R. George Motter room was clean, comfortable, spacious, and full of wonderful amenities. The guest spaces were comfortable and filled with delicious food (including fresh cookies and banana bread!!). Chris made great conversation during breakfast but gave us plenty of space to have fun ourselves. They even went so far as to offer to pick us up from our nearby event at Antrim, which we had walked to, when a dounpour erupted. If you want a stay where you are treated like family and that will put a warm smile on your face, look no further.

I gifted a night at Georges to my daughter and son-in-law as an anniversary present. It was delightful! The historic home is elegant, rooms are beautifully appointed, the owners are welcoming, and the breakfast was outstanding! The best gift ever!

Our incredible hosts Sharon and Chris own and manage a beautiful property in the heart of Taneytown. The house is positively breathtaking in terms of its architecture and interior details. The five bedrooms rooms are spacious and comfortable.Chris is an amazing cook and loves making breakfast. Sharon knows the house on an intimate level and will glady conduct an extended tour. There is a huge backyard, off street parking and plenty of places to chill out and recharge. Sharon and Chris provide an online guidebook when you reserve that includes history, attractions and restaurants in the area. If you are looking for an exceptional B&B in this area. Don't miss Georges on York. I promise you won't be disappointed. Rooms: 5 rooms on property. All with en suite, some with king beds. Nearby activities: The Shrine of the Virgin Mary and the Shrine of St. Elizabeth Seton are a short drive, as is Mt. St Mary's College. Safety: Very safe and walkable downtown area outside the Inn. Food & drinks: Great breakfasts by Chris, and a full area of complimentary snacks and drinks at the Inn. Great local eateries and pubs nearby.

This is a fantastic place. Chris and Sharon have created a lovely B&B. Gorgeous decor, wonderful food, and Chris and Sharon are gracious hosts.
