Kuhn's Tree Service

Am very pleased with Kuhns Tree Service on my tree removal! I rarely have a need for a tree service company (2x in 5+ years?) and none of them were removals; branch trimming from a 40 footer and then some smaller trimming at a different property. I had used Kuhns back then and was thoroughly impressed with their hard work and results. With another pending tree issue, I called them again and was delighted that the business and same owner are there (of course! as you read further). Laura (owner) is a delight and set up my appt with Chase. Chase was punctual and he looked at the 60 maple (4-5 diameter?) near my roof at the rear of rental property. It was also near my fence with large branches hanging over my neighbors yard. He expertly assessed the status of the tree, that it had cracks and was soft, its mushroom growth, the yard for the job and access through the gate, etc. The tree had to be removed. He quoted a fair price and I was able to schedule with Laura for the following week. There was a nasty rain storm (Jan 9-10) so the schedule got pushed back a day due to ground conditions fair enough. The team arrived with 4 friendly, respectful hard workers. They laid sheets of plywood down to protect my yard (storm) from debris removal and later the mobile equipment to lift heavy logs and grind the stump. The climber did an outstanding job ensuring that all the limbs fell to my yard. He had a dedicated ground guy and the entire team was terrific. They removed the tree methodically and ground up all but the trunk sections at the curb with their equipment. Chase operated the mobile mechanical equipment with care and precision. I also got a fair price for the removal of a smaller tree nearby and had them do that while the team was there. They did an excellent job cleaning up and making the soft ground NOT look like a big tree removal operation had just spent 8+ hours removing limbs and trunk sections. Chase showed me the trunk sections that had the crack running through the entire diameter, where a snow or ice storm may have sheared off limbs and damaged the house. I dont need this work done often but Kuhns will be my first call!

I have been purchasing firewood from Kuhn's for several years now. Their firewood has always been well-seasoned and is delivered and stacked in a timely manner. Equally important, unlike most other firewood providers, Kuhn's delivers a true cord; once delivered and stacked I measure the stack and pro-rate payment according to the volume of wood actually delivered. Very professional.
