Had a wonderful experience with a kitchen remodel I wanted to have done. They walked me through the process and kept me informed when I had questions. They definitely love doing what they do and I will have them return to work on other projects! Service: Remodeling

I hired Silver Spring Kitchen Remodeling (aka RBK&E Properties) to renovate a condo that I own. The project involved new tile and shower/bath in the bathroom, granite countertops and tile floor in the kitchen, new carpeting, new switches and outlets, and new paint throughout. Things started well as Mila, the main point of contact, is always very friendly and prompt on email and text. Her pricing was fair and she was willing to negotiate. Omar, the person in charge of the work team, estimated the job to be about 3 weeks. Unfortunately, things did not go very well. It took them 3months to complete the project. A few small changes were requested by me, but those should have only been a few days. There were several excuses given for the constant delays (car broke down, someone had the flu, a mischeduling, etc.). The quality of work was not great. Drywall work around niches needed to be redone, messy caulk areas, paint missing in spots, messy grout, miswired light switches etc. The carpeting was done poorly and a proper carpet installer had to be hired to fix the work. The installer was charitable and said, "I think they made a good effort, they just don't know how to install carpeting." Despite assurances from Omar that this issue would stop, cigarette butts were regularly littered around the front of the condo. The brand new kitchen sink was used as a dumping space and now has permanent damage to the finish and glue dried on it. The brand new tub was probably not covered during renovation and now has a layer of course grout dust that I have been unable to remove. All that said, one thing I really liked about this company was that each time I asked them to come back and fix something done poorly, neither Mila or Omar complained. They were gracious and did not hesitate to promptly fix whatever the issue was. Unfortunately, a lot of the issues are too difficult to fix at this point and not worth any more visits.
