I consulted with Dr. Potluri for endodontic diagnosis of an oral infection and sensitive tooth that others had been unable to figure out. Dr. Potluri himself was puzzled at first but called me at home later before the end of the day with his finding that he believed it was a rare cementum tear, something he hadnt seen in 20 years.
Three months later when I went to a periodontist for surgery the periodontist during the procedure exclaimed to his assistant "there's something in there" and removed a tiny fragment of cementum, confirming that it was a cementum tear, something he had never seen before, only read about in textbooks back when he was a resident.
