The staff was universally friendly and helpful. The Visitor Center has some primary and reproductive artifacts. And a 10in introductory film. It was helpful but the whole St Mary's experience was a huge let down. And that starts at the Visitor Center.

Great place to visit. Historic area is easy to walk and has much information about early Maryland. We visited in February and all the buildings were closed for the season. However, there was plenty of information to see / read while walking. Would be even better during the spring / summer months.
