The Inn at Brome Howard

We learned during breakfast that this is the Inn's final month - they are closing for renovations and possibly focusing on events. Here is the now fairly pointless review: Quaint Old building, full of creepy floors and short on amenities. Large sparse rooms. Huge backyard with river view. Do not expect usable WiFi or a desk to get any work done. Or a shelf in the shower. Or easy to reach towels. Or a grab bar. Do expect to be woken in the morning by noise and by daylight. There is a lovely porch to drink some coffee.

Tara makes a great breakfast. If you like old historic homes you'll like this place. It's not far from the center of St Mary's City yet secluded and quiet. You will have to climb stairs, so be prepared for that. For dinner drive a little farther south to Courtney's and have their oysters, the best you'll ever eat.

Went for our son's wedding. It looked like they had done nothing to prepare their venue for a wedding. There were weeds growing in the rock area where the ceremony was to be performed. Weeds on the walkways. The bushes had not been trimmed. It rained so the ceremony was in the tent, which was anticipated. However there was no walkway to the tent so we were walking in the grass and mud. You would have expected some type of temporary type of walkway. Tent area was not secured so rain was blowing in.
