I went because I woke up with crusty and itchy eye lids for several days in a row. I googled it and it sounded like i had a condition called Blepharitis. I went to Dr. Allen after seeing that she trained at Johns Hopkins. Dr. Allen did a thorough exam and confirmed what I had. She spent time reviewing with me what it was, how you get it and how to prevent it and answered all my questions. She is a cheerful person and I enjoyed talking to her. She gave me a hard copy in addition to calling in a prescription for Tobradex to include 1 refill for maintenance which I thought was really nice. She also gave me some samples of eye lid wipes. I felt like I was in good hands and would definitely see her again.

The doc at the eye center was very thorough and did a good contact evaluation. BUT the late policy at the center is hypocritical. I had an appointment at the shady grove office, only to arrive late. They would not see me. On a Previous appointment, I waited 37 minutes in the waiting room when the doctor was late to see me. How is this any different? Solution: I should have been given the opportunity to wait in the lobby in case there was an available time to squeeze me in. I was there for a contact follow up and simply needed a prescription for contacts. Very disappointed. This policy over shadows the doctors ability.
