After seeing Dr. Chu today, I felt he was rushing to finish the office visit and each answer he gave felt rushed and dismissive. It was a very cold interaction. I was asking about testing at certain ages for eye health, my family has history of eye disease. I do not plan to return to Dr. Chu. It wasnt anything overt, but I just felt like he did not want to be bothered and that was very little care for me as a patient.

I had an excellent experience with Dr. Chu and his office staff and technicians. Dr. Chu is extremely experienced, professional and personable. I had cataract surgery recently and it is amazing to be able to see so clearly now. The process itself is quick and pain-free. I highly recommend Dr. Chu.

I visited today for the contact lenses proscriptions for my daughter. When I checked in, the front desk told me they would charge a quite amount for teaching how to wear contact lenses. I asked that whether I could just have the prescription and not taking the teaching. The front desk told me that I could talk to the doctor. I thought there could be a possibility that I will not need to spend the money. When Dr. Chu entered the room to see my daughter, I told him I dont want to do the teaching part. I would just need the contact prescription. He didnt respond to me, instead he asked my daughter whether she will be capable to handle contact lenses. After she said yes, he asked are you ready to try. My daughter didnt move and he asked what was your concern. She didnt answer and I explained that she worries about the cost. He smiled and said, dont worry about the cost. Again I emphasized that it is too costly and I would like to have the prescription only since I have experiences with contact lenses. However Dr. Chu instructed his assistant to go ahead and 15 minutes to teach my daughter how to wear contact lenses. I really appreciated the assistant was very patient but didnt realize that I would still be charged that much. Twenty minutes later I was escorted to the front desk and asked to pay. I was not happy and talked to the doctor again and he declined he even said anything about worrying about cost. Want to share with you and be aware that this office could unethically charge you!
