CAVA

This is my favorite place to eat in Rockville. The food is fast, delicious and super healthy. At first it was a bit intimidating to quickly order what I wanted as I went through the cafeteria type line where they put into your salad whatever you want. But, after I was there a couple of times, it was easy breezy because I knew what I liked. I also like being able to eat outside with my dog. It is definitely a nice, dog-friendly place to eat.

Cava has changed a lot the past couple years. Ive been a regular at this location for years now. They dont give you as many greens anymore. When I started coming here the bowls were packed to the brim and the plastic cap would have sauce all over it. Now its much emptier. Virtually all of the meats are marked up over the menu price. Falafel and the regular chicken are the only meats not marked up. The meatballs arent as good as they used to be, and theyre not spicy. The only spice left on the menu is the harissa, and its medium at best. The pita chips were changed over a year ago now and while theyre still good they are no longer the to die for pita chips they used to have. Less food, more money, less tasty than it used to be. Its a shame and Im highly disappointed.
