Mahdang Korean Restaurant

Seafood hot pot is great, I love it. Fried dumplings, side veggies and kimchi are ok. Overall recommend this place.

Full range of Korean dishes, with great service. Vegetarian options: Not really great for vegetarians. Parking: Fair amount of free parking out front.

When looking for authentic Korean food, this has to be one of the best place in the DMV area! I brought my mother in law and wife for a feast of delicious food, everything from the dolsot (claypot) bibimbap to the soups were so good! I especially liked the Soju and tea as well. It's a must try if you love Korean food. The Interier was cozy and I loved the ambiance of the TVs and wooden furniture, but I had to take a star off for two reasons: 1. Service: Don't expect to make small talk with the server, they are nice but just want to take your order and leave. The second thing about service is they EXPECT to receive an 18% tip, if you don't leave the exact amount they will call you out in front of your guests and ask you to pay the full amount, which is what happened us. (tip to the owner: you should make 18% mandatory if that is what you expect, which is totally fine to do). 2. Location: It is a bit of a drive to get there from the main road. Once you turn on to the street the restaurant is on, you will drive for several min. down a one way road. I can't complain about location, but worth noting if you don't have much time.
