The Cambria will be my go-to when I am in Maryland. It is in a great location, easy parking and access to 355, which is awesome for my visit.
Rooms: The room was cozy, I like the setup.

This was a really nice hotel! Only thing I didnt like was the Bar was closed on the weekend!

My family and I stayed here for 4 nights on a recent trip to DC to visit various sites, etc. I chose this hotel based on good reviews and proximity to the metro. I have to say that I was pleased for the most part. You are about a 5 minute walk to the metro and most of that walk is under a covered walkway. The area is great, clean, and safe. There are also numerous places to eat within walking distance. The staff here were all amazing and responsive. The hotel itself was nice and clean. The room itself was good but the shower could have used a better cleaning, there were numerous marks on the wall of the room, and the window shades did not want to function correctly. Not that any of these ruined the trip but these issues were there. My biggest issue has to be the cost to eat at their small restaurant. Prices are absolutely out of this world. One morning we decided to try it out. My daughter got breakfast potatoes, fruit, and juice. I got a bowl of cereal with water as my drink and my wife got a coffee and sandwich. The total cost for all this very basic and minimum amount of food (without tip) was over $40! The next morning I saw a sign that advertised a breakfast buffet for $18.50 a person! You would think they would have a nice layout of food options but it did not even rival the amount of food offered or quality of a free breakfast at a comfort inn and suites that I stay at pretty often. They also stopped serving breakfast at 9:00? Why? The fact that the restaurant seemed empty most of the time, speaks volumes. Overall this is a good hotel and I would stay here again but will not be utilizing their restaurant unless they make significant changes. You can easily walk to get quality food elsewhere at a MUCH more reasonable price.
