    Griffins does Auto Repair and Customer Service right. My family has trusted them with our vehicles for years. Recently I needed them to replace damaged wiring, and as usual they went above and beyond, getting me an extension for the emissions inspection and inflating a tire that was low.     Left car Wednesday morning. Did not get car back until the following Wednesday morning. Charged $98 diagnostic fee when he told me prior to bringing it in that it would cost $50. That fee should not be applied if you agree to the work being done. He stated the car was ready on Friday but he forgot to call. Instead he called on Saturday even though they were closed so he could do paperwork. Sunday they were closed. Monday they were closed due to holiday. Tuesday he was short staffed due to holiday so I couldn't be picked up. Wednesday I made my own arrangements to pickup my car. I received no apology for my inconvenience and the charges were in my opinion were over the top for the work performed. I was referred to him by a "regular customer" He too was shocked and disappointed in the price and delays. He wanted to intervene but i like knowing who im dealing with, when spending my money. An apology and an adjustment in the bill should have been offered to make it right for me as a new customer who they should want to keep. At this point I would not recommend due to prices and poor customer service. STANLEY I LOST TIME & MONEY. YOU LOST A REGULAR CUSTOMER AND POTENTIAL FOR FUTURE CUSTOMERS I COULD HAVE BOUGHT TO YOU. I CONSIDERED FILING A COMPLAINT WITH THE BBB AND THE CC COMPANY. BUT I'LL RELY ON KARMA

Mrs. Sullivan is a very lovely lady, but apparently we failed to communicate effectively. When I took here home on Wednesday, she told me she used the car maybe twice a month. Upon my return to the office, I told Stan that we should deliver her car when it was done, and that she didn't use it that often. But then I left for the long weekend. So we didn't have 2 people to deliver it. As far as the diagnostic charge goes, we haven't charged $50 for a diagnostic in many many years. And we have never ever offered free diagnostic with a repair. We do the diagnostic, call with a total estimate, and then proceed with the repair. If you decline the estimate, you only pay the diagnostic. If you approve the estimate, you pay the total invoice. Mrs. Sullivan approved the total estimate, but is objecting to the wording on the bill. When your car breaks, you pay for all of the time the mechanic spends working on your car. In this case we charged 2 hours of diagnostic time, plus the repair costs. It was an electrical / electronic issue that took more time to trace out. When she complained about the 2nd hour of diagnostic, after having approved the total estimate, and the total price of the repair. We refunded the 2nd hour of diagnostic. Now she is pushing to get another refund of the 1st hour of diagnostic. We offered here an estimate to fix the problem with the car. We performed the services estimated, and she was charged $98.50 less then the estimate. If she didn't want to pay the prices quoted, the time to say No, is before the repairs are performed. We value all of our customers, and have been doing business in Randallstown for 3 generations. We will endeavor to communicate our policies more effectively, but if you accept an estimate, and approve repairs, and the repairs are completed correctly. You should expect to pay for the services rendered.
