I attended a catered business function (held by my company) at Pleasant Hill House and I was totally enthralled with the charming, historic home and the beautifully landscaped gardens, manicured lawns, and sparkling pool. The setting feels tucked away, and very private, being surrounded by woods, yet it is not far off a main road. The house has been newly decorated (by a well-known designer I was told) with an elegant mix of traditional, antique, and modern/whimsical pieces and artwork so it does not feel "stuffy" at all. It is just gorgeous! The hosts were super nice and gracious, and gave us a fun tour of the house, when we asked, and told us of its fascinating history! When, and if (LOL!), my daughter ever gets married, I would love to hold her wedding here!

Pleasant Hill is a hidden gem. I was very fortunate to have discovered such a perfect venue for my mother's Celebration of Life. The historic home's interior is beautifully decorated which spills into the outdoor space where the grounds are perfectly manicured and maintained. All the guests commented on how lovely and inviting the space was. And then there is Travis....the owner and caretaker of Pleasant Hill. I can not express how thankful I am for his flexibility, help, availability and kindness. He is the best! He made this event come together so smoothly and was always there for anything our family needed in order to make a tough day a little easier. I highly recommend Pleasant Hill for any celebration if you are looking to create a special event to remember and cherish. Thank you Travis, Harrison and Tig!

I recently shot a film at Pleasant Hill House in Pomfret and it was a great experience! The place has tons of history, and it's clear the caretaker Travis has put a lot of love into it and is really passionate. There are a lot of spots to work with. I really liked the Tea Garden area in the back and that old-school basement had tons of character. Travis was super helpful throughout. I would absolutely recommend for a film shoot, but I can also imagine it being awesome for parties, weddings or any type of classy event. Were already thinking about doing a birthday party for a relatives 40th there. Definitely worth checking out!

Its been 50 years since i drove down 227. But this looks like grandma Mudds house. To the left closer to the subdivision which use to be called oak hill estates was Bobby Mudds house and farm to the right near the pool service place was another Mudd farm he had hogs and corn. The hog barn burnt down in the early 70s and all the friends and family piched in to build a new barn. The Mudds had farm property on both sides of 227 from columbia park road down to turkey hill rd

This venue is absolutely breathtaking! A hidden gem indeed. The owner, Travis, has done a wonderful job with the property. There is such rich history, the grounds are beautifully kept, and there is so much to offer. My husband and I are looking forward to planning our vow renewal now that weve found this place! I 10/10 recommend!
