Stay away from this gym if you want to be harassed daily by the employees. There is nothing thats fair about this gym when it comes to its members. I got treated horrible by the staff. There are so many individuals ( I wont name ) that hog the machines for 3-4 hours, hog the weights, and leave break the equipment with heavy weights. But the staff only picks on the kids. You cant even work out with the Karens getting annoyed. I tried asking for the owners contact info and the manager denied my request.

I recently visited two fitness gyms closest to my home, on the same day, to take advantage of a free membership through United Healthcare. I chose Fitness 19 over the other one (brand new and much larger) mostly because of the way I was greeted by Lauren at the front desk. She was so friendly, asked me a few questions and talked to me about what Fitness 19 could offer me. When I asked her if I could just walk around by myself she said sure and that she would be there to answer any questions I might have. I did tell her I would be visiting another gym and she just let me know she would be happy to help me if I decided to return. She was obviously very knowledgeable and treated me with such kindness and respect! This was a huge contrast to the way I was greeted at the other gym!

Fitness 19 is a gym. Its not a fancy retreat with a sauna and pool and turf areas. Its a place to work out. Its a smaller gym, but I can tell you after going there for 9 years, give or take, Ive only had to wait on equipment a handful of times. I guess its about timing. They have a great variety of equipment for most levels of fitness. The workers have been second to none. There have been some intermittent employees who seem like theyd rather be anywhere but there, but the others are golden. Theyre attentive, kind, and inclusive. For the bad, there isnt a ton, but there is some. In that 9 year span, I can say I havent seen a whole lot change. Sure there have been a few new treadmills and free weights, but the bulk of the equipment is aged. Paint has peeled and been replaced with the wrong color, seats have remained torn or broken, and the paint hasnt been updated. I think the gym just needs to overhaul itself and get more up to date. Ive since left Fitness 19 for another gym for expanded resources and more options. In the short time since leaving, Ive seen a host of familiar faces make the switch to this new gym and I can only assume it was for the same reasons I had. I hope it stays there for its affordable memberships, but it definitely needs a facelift.
