Karen @ The Brockington Firm is always a great experience. Karen has worked with our Small business and Personal Taxes over the past couple years and it's a great result time after time. She not only treats us like family but also provides knowledge and wisdom to put us at ease throughout the process. Great Job Karen!

I feel it is necessary to leave this honest review of the Brockington firm because I do not want this happening to any other small business. We hired Karen in the beginning of 2021 and explained to her that we were a new business and that my quickbooks somehow got messed up and needed a reliable accountant to adjust my books. She was to also give us monthly P&L reports and file our taxes. As a new business owner we have never personally worked with an accountant, so we did not know what to report to her, how to report. We expected her to know what she was doing. She charged over 3k do our books, and file our taxes. She charged an additional amount because she said she had to do extra work to reconcile our books, but rest assured its fixed. She did not fix one thing. The initial issue we hired her to fix never got fixed but she insisted she did. I have a new accountant (he audits small businesses for the government, so he knows what he is doing) and he is just finished filing our 2021 taxes in Sept. 2022 because he spent 6 months fixing all of the work she did. She gave us a K1 stating we were profitable over 6 figures when we ended up not being profitable. She never ended up filing our taxes and she was supposed to file an extension. We were under the impression an extension was filed until today when we received a 4k bill from the IRS stating no extension was ever filed. We never got monthly P&L's, there was always an excuse, our server was down, Karen is out of the office, which was all of the time. We reached out and found that all of our previous messages and documents have been deleted and we cannot get in touch with her. They are in way over their heads at the Brockington firm and I have emails with them stating they were overwhelmed and backlogged and understaffed. Absolutely unacceptable and we are reporting them to the IRS as well. Steer clear from this firm
