Johnson's Landscaping Service

We hired JLS (Matt and Charlie) to fix a significant drainage problem in our back/side yard affecting our patio immediately adjacent to a sensitive neighbor.  It was small job, but a little complex.  They did a great job.  The greatness assessment was not because everything went smoothly (It didn't having to do with details about elevation and integration with a existing walkway). It was great because they reassessed after the error and fixed it.  It was clear that, despite this being a relatively small job, Matt and Charlie and the JLS team were completely committed to making it right.  There was no haggling and not a moment of hesitation on their part;  they were totally devoting to fixing it until I was satisfied with no question.  I am. We have now had a couple of heavy rains and their drainage system worked perfectly.  I know their web site shows a lot of fancy houses and big jobs, so clearly they can do this large scale stuff. [Note the DIY brick border in the photo was mine, since upgraded to fit with professional job by JLS.  They did not smirk or roll their eyes about my efforts to save money.]

Johnson's is our go-to for landscaping work! From start to finish, everything is always done perfectly and with care. I am a firm believer that you get what you pay for and Johnson's is worth every penny. Our yard always looks beautiful when they are finished and their staff and crews are friendly, thoughtful, and go the extra mile. They deserve a ten-star rating!

We have used Johnson's to do a patio and front walk 9 years ago, and more recently to demolish a carport and replace with gravel, to work on some drainage issues and build a base for a shed. We will also be using them in the near future for another patio area. The quality of work and professionalism of the workers is fantastic. They are always happy to talk you through what they are doing, and also ask questions if it isn't totally clear what a particular detail should be. During the pandemic the wait times for work have increased, but they are clear that this is the case, and when they say they will come they do, and they don't stop until the work is finished. No random days off or mornings with no-shows. You can rely on them to do the job right. I don't even get other quotes now, as although Johnson's aren't the cheapest, they care about the job and are reliable partners.
