We have stayed in many hotels and different lodging establishments. None come close to the welcoming feeling and peace of mind that come with staying at the Olney Inn. We spent the weekend for our 30th anniversary and each and every detail was perfect. From the linens to the hot breakfast every detail was on point. The grounds are welcoming. The room is tranquil and beautiful. There is nothing else you could ask for. Nothing. If we could give the Inn a 10 we would.

If I could give this place more than 5 stars I would! I arrived around 4:30pm and was warmly greeted and given a tour since it was my first time there. The common areas of the dining room and the living were beautifully decorated. The dining room had a selection of hot teas, coffee and hot chocolate. Fresh fruit, yogurt (in a mini fridge) and cereal if I happened to be a bit hungry later. The roaring fire place in the living room was enchanting to sit by and read for a few hours on very comfortable furniture. Kept company by the glittering chandeliers, it was easy to get lost in my Jane Austin novel. Several shelves of books were on one side of the room, on several different subjects and genres. There is also a beautiful piano on one side of the room (Which, I admit, I didn't work up the courage to ask if I could play it ) and several games boards. I saw checkers, scrabble, Chinese checkers and possibly a chess set. There is so much history here you can practically feel it. The atmosphere is very peaceful both inside and out. Outside the lawn is decorated with many adorable garden statues and there is even a fish pond. I didn't see any fish but its so cold this time of year I am not surprised. I stayed in the Elinor room and its was fantastic! The room was spacious and cozy at the same time with a full bath and closet space. There was a writing desk and a comfy little side area for sitting. The pillows and mattress were very comfortable. There was also a large flat screen TV and cable. The bathroom had everything you could need. I.e. soap, bubble bath, shampoo and body wash. There was not a speck of dust anywhere in the Inn. Everything was immaculately clean. Breakfast the next morning was delightful. Besides the coffee, tea etc there was sweet monkey bread, croissants, muffins, bagels, more fresh fruit, yogurt, cereal, and one of the best broccoli quinces I have ever had. We got to talk a bit to our fellow guests at the very spacious dinning table. Check out was very easy as well. It was at 11am and we just sort of said bye as the room was already paid for when you book and your receipt already emailed. Overall and amazing relaxing stay. We will be returning.

I take walks with my client as part of therapy and we love to come and sit by the pond and watch the gorgeous view and beautiful yard. We both find it very relaxing and welcoming. We even had a chance to speak to the owner and get some history and a good laugh!

Beautifully and authentically decorated mansion, built in 1926. Rooms have individual bathrooms with shower. There were all types of breakfast foods & a homemade dish included. First class. Would return with pleasure.
