Company didn't tell american home shield the truth about the cause of my problem. They just stated they couldn't do the job.

I would never use H & K plumbing again.1.subpar service,2.did not honor their estimate/quote,3.promised a call back from owner(never happened) and 4.now can't reach anyone but still charged me $890.I'll be contacting whatever Md state agency for plumbing companies to report my experience!

I was without working bathroom for days when Ronnie and son arrived they were friendly and arrived much earlier then expected which was great.they fixed the issue when I was previously told it would be a pricy job and messy. They also tied it up after they finished.

I was assigned H&K for a kitchen faucet that wasn't producing any water through my warranty company, American Home Shield. Property is in Bel Air, MD. H&K was quick to schedule us in which was a great start, but it went downhill from there. The plumber's notes (plumber's name was Dave) to my warranty company was that the issue was "not normal wear and tear" which is absolute nonsense since the issue explained was just normal mineral build-up within the faucet itself which was restricting the water flow. I was surprised plumbers of their "expertise" couldn't repair that on site - perhaps it was the design of my faucet, but I digress. They recommended replacement of the faucet at a quoted price of $569. This is after the $100 service fee. Because of their "not normal wear and tear" wording, AHS said it was a non-covered issue. I did call AHS and direct them to my contract wording which clearly states my coverage, so they refunded my $100 service fee. I called H&K Plumbing curious about their proposed schedule for replacing the faucet and she couldn't guarantee a day saying they had to order the "parts". For shoots and giggles, I offered to have a faucet shipped via Amazon to have on-site next day and asked what labor costs would be, and she said they do not install customer-supplied faucets. I've been in the property management business for more than 10 years, so I knew after all of this nonsense that H&K is not a plumber I'd ever want to work with. I canceled them and was able to get another plumber scheduled within 24 hours who quoted under half their price. AHS offered to assign a separate vendor at no charge, but I didn't have the heart to make my Tenant wait any longer for an easy faucet repair/replacement. Self-managing rental properties from out-of-state can be a pain due to negligent, dishonest and scamming companies such as H&K! I did call AHS and recommend they remove H&K from their vendor list ASAP. I also stated that in writing to AHS through their email survey.For anyone in the Bel Air area - call Alexander Plumbing or Victory Plumbing. I've used them in years past and they are WAY more reasonable and trusting than this company.Lastly, for what it's worth, I know how to navigate American Home Shield very well and this issue was 100% due to the purposeful and misleading wording in the repair diagnosis. I truly think H&K uses warranty companies to scam customers.
