Many of our patients (specifically Healthfirst Medicare patients) are having a deductible incorrectly applied when they don't have a deductible. That means they don't get eye exams covered by you, their insurance, and your system is stating they need to pay out of their own pocket. But when we call Healthfirst directly we are told they don't have a deductible. It appears to be an error with your system. Can you please let me know when/ how you plan on fixing this? Thanks

The absolute worst. We have been trying to credential doctors for 6 months and each time we follow up they say they have no records they will escalate a ticket to have this handled and with 24-48 hours someone will give us a call or email and they never do. We have given every name of each person we have spoke with and still nothing. I just called and a rep answered the call but never said anything. I wanted to see how long the rep would keep me on hold without saying anything and it was 25 mins. Meanwhile they played music into the phone, cartoons, them some clip of someone cussing and saying I will kill you. My manager told me to start recording but once I did they started playing the cartoons again then hung up on me. That was very unprofessional and with almost all these people working from home there is no accountability nor can you ever really get help. Not sure what else to do here as we have a lot of patients that have this insurance. Something needs to be done here. STILL HERE 5 MONTHS LATER NO RESOLVE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Marisa Stewart your Network Development Specialist was the last person to help us we haven't heard from her since february!!!! she did nothing to assist! - we keep getting the same run around!

Eye Care Love
For over 15 years, weve been providers for multiple insurance companies and I can wholeheartedly say Versant Health is by far the worst! Its so bad that in good conscience I have to write this negative review to bring awareness to any business considering becoming a provider of theirs. Ever since Versant Health took over Davis Vision, the ounce of reasonable customer service they had, disappeared before you could say help! It's been like this for years and it seems like it will never change. The turnaround time for glasses is outrageous, not to mention the horrific way they edge lenses. Now they've gone far enough to invoice/charge us for jobs that were fully covered by the members insurance plan. About 10 yrs ago, we received an invoice for an order we placed for a member of theirs. The order was fully covered, frame and lenses. We immediately contacted Davis Vision, provided them with the supporting documents indicating the member was covered and the charge was made in error. They reviewed the documents, apologized and closed the case. 10 years later, not only did we receive an invoice from Versant Health for the same member, they also included a compounded interest charge along with a warning letter, that if the invoice was not paid by X date, our contract would be terminated. We pulled the archived documents and attempted to dispute this ridiculous charge. After being transferred to almost every department, we finally spoke with Heather Lane from accounts receivable who seemed to be sincere to our situation. She reviewed our case and then ultimately forwarded us back to customer service. Versant Health's inability to provide proper training to their employees, has left us Providers with incompetent representatives - They have no idea what theyre doing. As of 5/30/23 we dropped Versant Health! PROVIDERS BEWARE!!!

The issue started with the eyewear provider not billing my claims correctly, after 8 months of billing 4 corrected claims and Superior Vision guiding the provider on how to bill, it was determined to be a system glitch. In what clearly appears to be a case of Superior Vision guiding the provider how to bill the claims so they would coincide with what the provider showed my plan coverage to be, it turns out Superior Vision did not have my plan loaded correctly, the provider did. The provider initially billed with the wrong codes and did not bill for the items my plan covered at a discounted rate. Since Superior Vision never had my plan loaded correctly that is why none of the EOBs that were issued reflected the correct coverage. Luckily, the provider did offer the discount prices (as per my plan)the EOBs should have reflected and never did. Verdant Health is the parent company to Superior Vision. Individuals with both organizations at all levels completely disregarded all of the backup I provided to them and shoved off this situation knowing the Attorney Generals office has no legal boundaries.

One star is too much for this health insurance. Absolutely do not suggest Optometrists folks to sign up this insurance. It used to be Davis Vison which already reimburse optometrists lowest compared with other health insurance. Now the Versant Health DOES NOT PAY. When I submitted the claim through the provider portal, I billed contact lens fitting fee or exam fee, but their system can do some trick to automatically change billing amount to "Zero" or some other amount. So I got "zero " payment for contact exam fitting, and some of optometrists have issues with exam payment too (six cents reimbursement for eye exam ). Every time when I called , I was given a ticket and it took me one hour to explain this issue on the phone and some representatives even hang up the phone, but any way still NO payment issued. The optometrists in my area already quit this insurance. It is the worst.
