        The one lady that got placed on self-checkout duty gets really antagonistic if you have more than 20 items... even when you beat the people with fewer items through the checkout. In fact, my first item triggered an "assistance needed" error and she boldly stated that "this is why you shouldn't have more than 20 items in this line because I have to keep coming over here". That was for ONE item, and it didn't happen again. It had nothing to do with the number of items, she was just upset that she needs to be present to resolve those issues and taking it out on customers. I'm sorry, but if you don't want to monitor self-checkouts, maybe you should be one of the cashiers. I have only ever had a problem with lady... wish I knew her name so I could call her out; everyone else has been great. If you want people to use the other registers PLACE MORE PEOPLE ON REGISTERS because it takes me less time to go through the empty self-checkout than a line of 3-4 people in the cashier checkout.
