Shakira does not take the time to properly numb or stitch her patients after an episiotomy. The cut was far from having enough stitches to close up and a very painful infection developed from my vaginal cut gaping open, which took 12 wks to heal up. I was told the only way to heal any faster was to go in for surgery, get re-cut and re-stitched because it needed to be all done correctly the first time and extra stitches just can't be simply added later. Shakira's attitude stinks and she talks down to her patients. Because of her I had an awful labor/delivery and even worse recovery and wish she would be better supervised/trained and put better care into patients and how she treats people and talks to them. The rest of the staff at Women's Health Center @ Robinwood are a professional and caring staff and have nothing but respect and trust in them. LADIE'S please have a talk with your labor/delivery nurses when you are first assigned to your labor/delivery room about watching out for these kind of problems because in the throws of labor and pushing you can't tell right away everything being done to you and the nurses need to be unafraid to speak up against this sort of thing and need to watch out for us so we know that our baby is ok and we are in good hands.
