This company is filled with the most unprofessional, incompetent, and disrespectful employees. Pinnacle decided to make a change with banking (?), or whatever, in January knowing that the annual open space HOA was due 1/1/24. I had my HOA fee in my account ready to be taken out. It was not taken out on 1/1. I waited, I emailed, I called... no response to anything. We finally get the HOA coupons in the mail. As soon as I get that, I write a paper check, and send it with my coupon from the book. I wait weeks, just to see that my check still hasn't been cashed. I don't know about you all, but I live paycheck to paycheck and having that extra money in my account was really difficult on me financially. I finally read some reviews on Google and found the manager's name (Jeremy) after weeks of attempted emails / phone calls. I reach out but get no response for a week. I finally get forwarded an email about how Pinnacle will now have a new portal (I had emailed asking for the original portal when I first bought my home and NEVER got a response for over a year and a half) and it would be "live" soon. Jeremy had told me that since the original coupon books were incorrect, my check wouldn't be received. I asked SEVERAL times what would happen since I had already sent a check. I was told that nothing would happen because it wouldn't arrive. So, as soon as the new portal was live, I went in, made an account and paid with my credit card. I paid the $240 dollars with my card, but because it was a card, they tacked on that stupid credit card fee, so my total came to $247.08. I got an immediate confirmation email stating I paid and the following day, my credit card cleared the payment. When I went into my checking account, I noticed a $240 debit (from the original check I sent!!!!). I hadn't even had time to put a stop payment on the check because it happened in the same day! This hit me hard! I go to the portal the next day, and my account only says I had a check posted of $240. It did not include the second $247.08 paid with the credit card (which would've paid my open space fees for 2024 and 2025). This was concerning to me since I paid TWICE! Check first, then credit card. I reached back out on 3/11 as I hadn't received any update about a refund. He did respond on 3/12 saying that a refund was issued (which was a straight up lie) and that I should see my refund by the end of the week on 3/15. This didn't happen. On 3/18, I emailed to say I never got my email. He responded on 3/19 to let me know my email was forwarded (which I doubt as I never got any update). On 3/26, I reached back out because I hadn't gotten a response... again. I got a response on 3/28 where he said he "made a mistake" about the accounting department sending me a check (I'm going to stick with it actually being a lie...). He then asked me to send a picture of the back of the check I sent so he could see who signed it to discuss with them. I have literally no idea how I could possibly have done that when I sent THEM the check. Make it make sense. I responded as such. On 4/8, I get a response that's super snarky saying the money I paid is the association's , and he can't get me a refund without proof. I sent proof of my check being cashed (again, the check was NEVER the issue... it was the credit card payment), and I sent the email confirmation showing I paid on my credit card and proof of my credit card statement showing the cleared payment. Today (4/9), I got an email from Kim Barnes-Johnson who continued to ask me for proof AGAIN. She asked if I wanted a refund or it to be placed for the 2025 year. I said I wanted a refund of $247.08 on my credit card. She told me that it would be a $240 check because they can't refund credit cards. Which I think is BS. This company is ABSOLUTE garbage, will take your money, won't respond to you, and will refuse to put themselves in your shoes. I filed a report with my credit card company since they refuse to do the RIGHT thing. Please be aware before using them as your property management company.

It has gotten better. You just have to be an owner in one of their communities.

I have been emailing and calling them for weeks to answer a simple question about a charge on my HOA bill. Still waiting to hear back from them... Terrible way to run a business.
