They gave me the option to phrchase a factory rebuilt or used engine, both of which were reasonably priced. I highly recommend this repair shop.

Rude, Unprofessional and extremely argumentative. Called up for a simple repair, asked if we could bring in the parts. Instead of simply saying no we can't do that. He started cussing about how he got sued twice and I can bring my own parts and do it myself. He used the f word multiple times. After I hung up, he called my number back to harass me even further. Wish I could leave a -0 stars.

Ritchie Automotive did a fantastic job replacing the engine in our 2013 Suburban-that blew up 7 months after we purchased it from a dealer. They patiently answered all our questions and helped us select the best replacement engine. The work was done quickly and at a reasonable price. The car was cleaner at pickup then drop off. They helped us through a stressful time and we are back on the road again!

I’ll never bring my car to this shop again. Richard ,the desk guy, is horrible with communication. There hasn’t been a single time when he’s called me about an update. For a few months I was making it my business to call the shop every Friday. Occasionally I would drive there to speak with him in person. I was told my car would take 2 months maximum. It’s now been 1 year and 9 months. He now has given me a number of excuses. The first excuse was the car would shut off and he needed to find a ecu. That excuse lasted for 2-3 months. Finally I called the Chevy dealership in Cockeysville and inquired on purchasing one. There weren’t any in Maryland but they had one the next day shipped from D.C. I then gave it to them and told them I needed the old one for my core. Took them about one month and a half to install the ecu. After the install the problem was they needed to program the ecu. They set a date to have a tech program it and that’s when the second excuse comes. They lost my key and key fob. I was told a tech that worked there moved to Virginia and wasn’t sure what happened to the key. I was told to hang on while they try to locate it. Very unprofessional. After while They asked me if I could bring a key which I could but I didn’t have another key fob which was 500 for the install plus 200 for the part. Also the key for my car has a chip make into it. Not cheap. After I get them a key the next excuse comes. Now they need an optispark. Just so happens they order an optispark from new York. The state that’s shut down at the time from covid. This part could have been purchased or ordered from a local auto parts store. This was another one of Richards excuses to get me to stop asking about the car. I also talk to Quentin about time frames and updates. The both of them point fingers at each other and never give me a owner or anyone in control above them. Which is why I’ve been playing this waiting game. Mean while I’m still paying insurance. Thank goodness this isn’t my only vehicle. My tires are a rare size. Ones flat completely and the other are dry rotted. The vehicle had brand new brakes and rotors which are now rusted. I’m hoping my interior isn’t ruined from sitting in the sun. My paint isn’t looking the best from sun damage. I’m sure my brand new interstate battery is dead. A vehicle sitting for close to 2 years end up with hoses dry rotting and possible brake lines rusting. On top of that the engine I had installed cams with a 3 year warranty. What good is 3 years if it’s been installed and sitting for almost 2 years. Finally now I’m waiting for them to finish up with the key fob ,but at this point I’d rather have the key fob deducted from the price and have my car.
