Glen Mar Apartment Homes

My original post was for a special Shout out to the maintenance team for trying their hardest to keep up with the horrible conditions this place has. It was over a year ago. I no longer reside at Glen Mar Apartment homes. If you are looking to move and think this is the place..... it is NOT !!!! RUN. Fast, and quick. bugs, mice, "Laundry room gang" in a laundry room that has 1 washer and 2 dryers between 22 apartments. Don't do it. You can find better !!!

I have lived here about 4 years now, sadly I have went trough 3 different managers here as well. The current manager seems to be working out ok but I am disappointed about the lack of communication. There was a tenant in my building who was allowing homeless people to sleep in the basement & shack up in his apartment. The basement has a washing machine & dryer so it is a community space. I have walked into the basement & found a couple camped out with blankets on the floor & their clothes hanging from the water tank. I reported it via email (the office was closed) & requested the manager to respond to my email regarding the concern which she did. The following day, the same tenant was put out of his apartment by management BUT would climb on the balconies to access his apartment all while children were outside playing. I again emailed the office .... heard nothing. Not even a "this has been taken care of..." type of email. That entire week was hell, the apartment was constantly being broken into & a young lady was beat up pretty bad in the basement. Police were called a few times & all. overall this is NOT how I want to live. I work, I have kids & this behavior is unacceptable. I will give maintenance a Gold star, they always come out when I place a request. I have mixed feelings living here, the apartments are a nice size but are older so if you live on the 2nd or 1st floor you will hear ever noise from your upstairs neighbors. They also allow smoking inside the apartments which is not good for non-smokers like myself. The smoke from my downstairs neighbor comes in from the kitchen, the first manager told me to purchase a air purifier, which I have but there is still the smell of the smoke. I have been here for so long because the price is not too bad for what you get, & my next move will be into my house, so I will stick it out until next year.

Staff is professional and friendly. They are also quick to call back if you call with any problems.

I have lived here for almost 5yrs,for the most part things have been ok,the complaints I have always been addressed .I am impressed by the maintenance they are awesome,I love the new laundry machines,but the TRASH is out of control!!!!! maybe more pick times will help not sure but the property looks a mess and not welcoming at all. Amber does a great job at responding! Still have these very young children riding this this dirt bike,with very small kids on the back ,where are the parents that are fueling this damn thing? Overall I have seen improvement.
