I go to this office over 10 years. Dr Howard is my favorite. They are very nice and professional

I want to give a negative star review if I can. I went in as a new patient, having moved, for a regular office visit, just to get prescription refills, and after asking a couple questions about why I need allergy and anxiety meds, they billed me more than $300 for a psych evaluation and also charged for flu vaccine and vaccine shot administration. I've called and had my insurance call many times for proper claim submittal of my bill, but they keep ignoring it and resending the bill. I am never going back and reporting them to BBB. This is ridiculous. The staff is very nice, but their business dealings are super shady.

The worst experience I ever had ! My PCP doctor moved from RIMG to this group and I wanted to stay with her. I called , made the appointment, they sent me paperwork to fill out, which I did, gave them my insurance info, they confirmed the appointment, and when I went to check in they informed me they no longer accepted my insurance ???? I told them I will pay because I really needed to see my doctor in order to check the lab work she had ordered, and they refused. Total waste of my time which is the most valuable thing we have. They even suggested to change my insurance. Total lack of empathy. The health services have terribly declined in this country, it is now just big business and this group is really the WORST!

I was very happy with this practice when they were at Boland Farm. But, after two unhappy experiences. I sent a letter, received no response and I found a new practice with which I am quite content. I would not recommend Family Health Care, they have become too big to care for their patients.

So I called this practice for a new patient appointment. I told them what my concerns were and that I needed some labs. I was scheduled for a nonurgent appointment instead. I went for that appointment yesterday and I was belittled by the provider that I didn't schedule the right type of appointment. Excuse me. I'm not the one who answered the phone at this practice and scheduled my appointment. I communicated my needs appropriately. It is their front end that needs educated by their providers about what is acceptable to schedule as a nonurgent appointment. As a patient I have no control of that. It was a complete waste of my time. I better not have to pay for them wasting my time. Besides, what is the harm if this provider ordered some labs and I follow up with a physical at a later date? None. Why should my health be penalized because of their staff and rules? Proper manners would dictate service recovery on the part of the provider for the error for the 'wrong appointment type'. Their rules, they can bend them if they chose. Uterine fibroids are not their specialty but bloodwork is. The provider asked how I knew that I had a uterine fibroid. Umm I did have 3 children. It just so happens that they do ultrasounds while a person is pregnant! Let us connect the dots!! Now I know why people do not go to doctors and complain about the health care system. Now I know why the emergency departments are full and the patients complain their primary care doctors did nothing. This all makes sense why hospital staff is bearing the brunt of patient frustrations. I will not be back to this practice. Heather, RN
