La Petite Academy of Germantown

My children had been attending this specific location since January of 2023. I would NEVER ever, ever, ever again take my kids to this location or any of its surrounding locations after what I experienced with them. For starters, the director is a complete JOKE- her name is Kierra Alvarez formerly known as Keirra Tongue. How she became employed to be a director at this place is shocking to say the least. Kierra lacks the class, professionalism, and education to hold a position such as a director. Her behavior, tone, time management, hiring abilities, management skills deserve a ZERO score. Kierra speaks to parents who are fair skinned and lighter skinned tones with rude and obnoxious tones where as with darker skin toned individuals she greets them with smiles and well wishes. She needs to be educated on how a director role should be ran. Keirra Alvarez threatened bodily harm to myself in front of other staff members and refused to return my children's items. It took calling the police on her staff and herself and reporting this situation to her supervisor and threatening to file theft charges against them that they reimbursed me for my items. I NEVER received an apology for her behavior or an apology from La Petite. I NEVER received an explanation to that entire situation that occurred. When i asked the regional director for higher managements information, the regional director refused to provide me with their information and ignored my requests. I am not surprised because she came off as protecting Kierra Alvarez more than being apologetic for her poor representation of their brand and company. I have already reported them to DHHS licensing and have contacted Fox5, NBC News and many more outlets and will continue to share my experience with how Kierra Alvarez and her staff including Tiffany Barkley, and Jasmine behaved. In addition to this situation, i witnessed another parents child being abused and reported it immediately, only to learn that the person who took the report never reported it to the director (so they claim) and it was never properly investigated. In addition, the staff are always cursing, using slang/ebonx words, and having adult conversations around the children. There is absolutely NO DIVERSITY in their hiring. Their turnover rate is extremely high and this is because of the POOR management running the staff. Their shortage in staff happens monthly, recently in the month of June of 2023 they had to shut the school down for a day since they did not have enough teachers to run the classrooms. TERRIBLE BUSINESS!!!!! The teachers are horrible with communication. And my children have gotten sick and caught other infections at this establishment over 5+ times since starting in January of 2023. Their classrooms smell very bad, especially Tiffany Barkley's room- which smells like poop diapers every time i had picked and dropped off my children. DO NOT SEND YOUR CHILDREN HERE UNLESS YOU ARE DESPERATE! Seriously, do not choose them!

We've been sending our daughter since she was 6 months old to this location and have nothing but great things to say about LaPetite Germantown. Her teachers in the infant room have been EXCELLENT! With their guidance, our little one has blossomed into a crawling/walking/babbling toddler. I can see the work they put in and am amazed at the high level of love and care they have for each child in their care. They are experts in making sure children are encouraged and supported as they hit developmental milestones. We highly recommend this place if you are looking for not just a daycare, but a school that will help your little one grow.

The Junior K program here is phenomenal. My son has started kindergarten with all of the skills he needs to be successful. Ms. Ena and Mr. Marshall helped him learn how to control his energy and sit still for lessons while delivering clear and effective reading and mathematics instruction.

Been with this school for over a year now and watched my kids grow through multiple classrooms and theyve loved every day of it. The administrators, Ms Tounge and Ms Cam have been very supportive and accommodating during our entire time with them! Would highly recommend!
