In need of a tax preparation service I turned to yelp reviews. The reviews on both yelp and google were very good. Visited the MARYLAND TAX SERVICE INC. website and everything was organized and thorough. Contacted the owner Travis Funkhouser and he got back to me right away. Arranged a meeting at his home office with my wife, and both of us walked away very confident in Traviss ability to prepare our taxes professionally at a fair price. The efficiency, communication, and attitude of this small business met and exceeded our expectations. Would highly recommend.

Travis was a great help to me.  I've started to get really disorganized, especially since the pandemic, and he was patient with that--which I very much appreciated.  Also, he found literally thousands of dollars' worth of deductions that I wouldn't have identified on my own.  When I think of how much money I "made" through using his service, it's really quite amazing.  From a financial point of view, the Maryland Tax Service is the best thing that has happened to me for years.  Next year, I will be better organized, and I will definitely be working with Mr. Funkhouser again.
