Evolution Physical Therapy

Dry needling has been a cure for me! I had a very old hip injury (turns out a sprain) for many many years I went to see different orthopedic doctors that could not find anything wrong based on the xrays and the MRIs, their diagnosis: Bursitis of the hip. Most of them recommended physical therapy, which I did but pain would return, others recommended cortisone shots and even surgery last resort. Well I did NOT want any of them, even though I was NOT able to do squats, or run, or bicycle (these movements would aggravate my hip pain). THIS IS THE FIRST TIME I HEARD OF DRY NEEDELING, (where they insert a very thin needle (like acupuncture needle) targeting the tight muscle, and quickly removing the needle) and VOILA the pain is GONE!! I don't like needles, not a phobia but just don't like them. I had 4 needles inserted total, 3/4 were not painful at all just a small discomfort. There's soreness the next day but PAIN FREE and STILL pain free after 1.5 months. Amazing just AMAZING! Now I just need to strengthen the muscles in the hip and leg areas, they gave me exercises to do at home. Ken, Rebecca, and Mona are all very friendly and accommodating. Would def recommend to others ! FYI. I only went to the Gaithersburg location, small and renovated and there are many other practices in the same building. IF you park on the largest parking lot its easier to find their practice.

I met Dr. Ken Lou recently when my podiatrist referred me due to an issue with my foot. Dr. Lou was very patient, kind, and took the time to get to know me and the issues I was experiencing. He recommended dry needling which helped tremendously! All of the PT sessions and exercises that Dr. Lou taught me were extremely helpful. I am so grateful to him for helping me feel better. I would highly recommend Dr. Lou!

Wow Amazing About ten years ago, my left thigh started feeling very tight. I couldnt lift my right leg easily. I went to see many doctors, and they all told me it was nothing. The pain came about two years ago. I could no longer lift my right leg up high, and I couldnt bend to touch my toes. I even had a hard time putting socks on! For two years, I was suffering in this constant pain. So I decided to fly from Hawaii to visit Rebecca and Ken. I had four appointments with them. They gave me the needle treatments! The needles went into the muscle where the pain was. Each treatment lasts about half an hour. No pain and no blood! After the fourth treatment, I suddenly felt the ease of my right leg. I didnt have to use my hands to lift my leg into the car! Amazing! I threw my cane away and walked in the park for about 20 minutes! How wonderful it is to be free from pain! The needle treatment really works! Now I can walk freely with no pain! I just have to do the daily exercises they recommended. I thank Rebecca and Ken for giving me the freedom to walk!
