Joe has been my barber for the last 5 years. Ive never had an issue with his work, always consistent and we always have great conversations. Did well with the taper and lineup, but Joseph left my hair uneven. The top bulk was blended into the taper only on my right side. This left my hair uneven from the left, making it look like a bowl cut from one angle and normal from the other. This was not visible during the haircut due to his styling, but when worn normally, the issue is highly visible. This is easily fixable, but will still require more time and money for a desired look that should have been perfected at the original haircut appointment.

For a while I had been thinking of finding a new barber that specialized in a wider array of styles. I've never had any truly bad experiences with a barber, but I also never had a barber that was receptive to my own life circumstances, provided their own opinions on any styles, or had clear pictures demonstrating their skill with varying styles. After searching for a very long time, I found Joseph's site with pictures of what I was looking for. Joseph not only provided me with a haircut that matched my needs, but he explained in great detail what fade he was going to go with, what would fit best with my face shape and hair texture, and even explained how my style could grow into what I was going for. My first haircut, he was able to successfully create a low fade style that could be worn both as a side and center part. Recently, I went with a more conventional spiky-ish top style with a mid fade that will eventually grow into a side part. He not only explained how close he would make the fade, but was happy to take the time to slowly taper down the fade so I could settle on a length that was comfortable. People get haircuts not only to feel better about themselves, but rediscover themselves. The versatility of styles I've been able to navigate and create with Joseph has truly been freeing because I've been able to both rediscover and discover new versions of myself. In service related professions I feel that what sets the best apart is not only a great attention to detail but the ability to extrapolate what the client is looking for--even when they may not know how to fully explain it. Joseph is able to do both. He'll frequently take a moment to let me look in the mirror and then touch up a part of my cut before I even have to ask. He'll take initiative in explaining haircutting concepts and terms to me or elaborate on styles I may be looking for. And he does all this while being able to carry on a conversation! He's the best barber I've had so far and I will continue going to him in the foreseeable future. Service: Haircut
