Secondly, this cake was ordered by your friend for himself, and I also told your friend that the cake would be delivered late. However, you helped him pick it up. I really truly appreciate your assistance in getting the cake.2. I know saying this now might not make a difference, but I still want to clarify that I didn't promise to deliver by 11pm. When we chatted on WeChat, I mentioned that it might take until 11pm. Maybe you misunderstood my meaning, for that, I apologize. Because typically, I don't promise to deliver within a specific time, as there might be delays or unforeseen circumstances, such as traffic or uncontrollable factors. I can only assure customers that I'll try my best to be on time.3. However, the situation on this Friday and this Saturday was unusual. Initially, someone was supposed to deliver the orders to DC and VA yesterday, so when we talked on WeChat, I estimated that I could have them ready for you around 10pm-11pm. But suddenly, that person said he couldn't deliver, so I had to do it myself. Since your friend's cake is for Saturday, I had to deliver the Friday orders first, then come back to decorate your friend's cake in the store. That’s why I mentioned it might be around 1am when I could deliver. I was concerned about disrupting your rest, so I suggested setting an alarm to pick up the cake at 1am, or the alternative of me delivering it at 5:30am on Saturday since I'm not open for business on this Saturday (2/24) and have to leave with my kids at 6am for a competition in another state. Then, you chose the 1am delivery option. I delivered it at 1:16am last night.4. As there was no unpleasantness in our conversation last night, I assumed everything was okay with you.
